Smile – Scrap Attack

Hi Angels!

I’m playing with a few projects that aren’t complete yet so grabbed some Bits & Pieces & scraps for this Scrap Attack card.

The background scrap is an old piece of paintable wallpaper I created eons ago and I took the negative cutout from the smile & added a scrap of watercolor background to the back to make the focal image. A few more of the new Pinkfresh Studio Ombre Glitter Drops & card created in about 5 minutes.

Thanks for popping in.

Pure Joy – Pinkfresh Studio Create & Connect

Hi Angels!

I hope you are having a great week. We have much to be thankful & praise God for this week already.

Our week started off with a severe storm & tornado that hit our town late Sunday night, about 10 hours no power & 38 hours no internet. We are fine, our town had no serious injuries but there is quite a bit of damage. In Oklahoma we are used to such weather but it’s a couple months early this year.

I finished up my 2nd Pinkfresh class & again I absolutely love this Pure Joy stamp/stencil/die combo.

The first 2 cards are just stenciled for the images and card 3 is stamped, embossed in gold & then die cut. The versatility of the dies is fabulous. For card one I just cut the outline shape, card 2 the individual images are die cut & card 3 has both with the outline color blended by itself then the images die cut & place within the outline.

Thanks for stopping by.

Farm Fresh – Pinkfresh Studio Create & Connect

Hi Angels!

I hope you are having a great weekend. A couple days of migraines this week meant I got very little creating done. I am so happy that was not the case today for the start of the Pinkfresh Create & Connect event.

It is always fun to get to play with new products before they are released for general sale & I absolutely love the Farm Fresh Collection we got to design with for our first class.

I love how these cards have a fresh modern feel while hinting at a bit of vintage too. A mixture of stamping, ink blending, embossing & die cutting then embellishing with the new ombre Glitter Drops releasing Monday and I have a gorgeous collection of cards to brighten someone’s day.

Stay tuned for more class reveals. I will only get through half my classes this weekend because of scheduling but I have plenty of time next week to finish up all 6 classes.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hay There Pop-up Card

Hi Angels!

I’m back with the 2nd card from our pop-up class. These cards are a little bit of work to put together so 2 seemed the perfect number for a class.

T

I thought the “down on the farm” theme was perfect for a birthday card so the Hay There & You Goat this were the perfect sets to complete this card. If you’ll notice the grass is the same paper as yesterday’s card. I was able to cut the grass for both cards from one card base piece, using to different grass border dies. I always love maximizing supplies.

I’m definitely going to need to pencil in some more time with my Lawn Fawn sets. They are so cute.

Thanks for stopping by.

Dandelion Wishes Pop-up

Hi Angels!

I had fun designing 2 cards for a class using Lawn Fawn’s Peekaboo Pop-up die set. And no, I’m not back to teaching full time just an occasional class here or there.

Here is card #1:

These mice are so very cute & I used mice from Dandy Day, Bubbles of Joy & Scripty Bubble Sentiments along with the Dandy Day 12 x 12 paper pack.

I hope your week is off to a fabulous start.

Thanks for popping in.

Beautiful – Scrap Attack Card

Hi Angels!

I hope you’ve enjoyed a blessed Sunday.

I’m in the middle of designing and after I stopped tonight, I started looking at what I had out on my work surfaces that would make a quick card and created this:

This is literally some leftover scraps & die pieces from other projects that didn’t make the cut along with some extra flowers from my recent flower cards. It took maybe 15 minutes to pull together & that was mainly because I was deciding on the flowers & the 3rd mat layer. Now I have a pretty card for my stash to brighten someone’s day.

I hope you have a great week ahead.

Thanks for stopping by.

Journal Tags

Hi Angels!

I hope your Saturday has been great!

For the past couple of days I have been playing with an old ATC kit I purchased many years back. The cards came pre-stamped with birds & pre-embossed with a brick embossing texture plus some bits & pieces. I used some of the bits & pieces, added in a few from my stash & created these tags for a journal:

The ATC cards were white so I added color to 3 of them with Distress Ink, then just played with adding some bits to the cards. The final card, I took the sentiment strip from another ATC kit I found to work on since I didn’t think the word “bliss” worked with the crowned bird. As I find the time, I will work on the 2nd kit I found in my stash.

Thanks for popping in.

Garden Birthday #2

Hi Angels!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start. I didn’t get anything crafty done today but did pull together some supplies for designing.

My final birthday card share from my week of February birthdays is for one of the Angels in my friend group.

It’s a mini slimline card featuring Taylored Expressions Garden Variety & Antique Pails dies along with the All Together – Occasions stamp & die set. Except for the card base & jewels, everything was pull from my scraps to make a Scrap Attack card.

Have a Fabulous Weekend! Enjoy if you have 3 days off with President’s Day.

Blessings!

You Are So Sweet

Hi Angels!

I’m trying out Simon Says Stamp’s Kit of the Month this year. In the past I have just ordered them as a one time purchase from time to time. I used the February Kit of the Month Sweet Days to create Valentine’s for my granddaughters.

I cased one of the design team’s designs to create these. I used Taylored Expressions Sketched Hearts Dies with rainbow glitter paper and the lollipop & sentiment from the Sweet Days kit. I colored the lollipops slightly different for each girl. I sent the cards off with a small art project for the girls to create.

Lots of fun. I plan to try & use my kits at least once shortly after receiving them so they don’t sit unused. So far I’m 50/50 since I haven’t created with January’s kit yet.

The weekend’s almost here. Have a Blessed Friday!

Trusting A Good God – Bible Journaling #5

Hi Angels!

I hope you are having a good week. Mine was very busy the 1st couple of days but I squeezed in a quick Bible Journaling page yesterday.

I chose a regular Travelers notebook for creating some of my By The Well 4 God designs in. I created a title page for the current study I am working through with the focal verse – Nahum 1:7

ADONAI is good as a refuge in the days of distress, and He knows those who take refuge in Him.

I had some element stamps out for some mixed media work and grabbed them to decorate the page that has a light background of Distress Inks brushed on. The title sticker from the kit & hand lettered verse finish up the page.

God is indeed a refuge on tough days.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings!
