Hi Friends!

I thought I’d get to work on some art yesterday but unfortunately a migraine said otherwise. Today I was hoping to get into the studio earlier but my errands ran longer than planned then a friend called for help. So I definitely got my kindness in today helping out my friend.

Fortunately beautiful cards do not have to be elaborate all the time. Another design in my encouragement/sympathy series.

A classic black & white design with a beautiful 3D embossing folder made for a quick card. The embossing folder is Fluttering By from Gemini & Crafters Companion & has a matching stencil for accent work. I believe after a quick search it is now retired. The sentiment strip is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Sympathy.

I hope to get a few more crafty minutes in tomorrow. I scheduled Wednesdays to be my house project days. Tomorrow it’s clean the fridge & wash down the cabinets with Murphy’s Wood Oil soap.

Sweet Birthday

Hi Angels!

I have been very busy with the Troop cards & some organizing. I was feeling quite squished in my study where I do some of my artwork. Then the studio has a lot of card sorting spread out in it to organize for the Troops and our other charities.

I did find some fun time to create my youngest daughter’s birthday card for her special day yesterday.

I used Brutus Monroe’s Turbine Stencil, My Favorite Things Hand Lettered Happy Birthday die and Crafter’s Companion Scenic France dies.

I will have a big update tomorrow.

Hi Angels!

Still working with fast, quick & elegant.

I have a list I am working through of things to get accomplished this week. However when an old friend calls, you take the time out of your schedule to chat. One of the key components of kindness is that time with people is always more important than your to-do list. It’s so nice to catch up and visit a bit.

While I was out, I popped into Hobby Lobby for a couple more bandanas. If it gets much hotter, with my asthma, I will switch from my mask to the lighter weight bandana for brief periods of time. While there I peeked to see if there was anything interesting in the paper arts area & came home with the Butterfly Trellis 3-D Embossing folder by Crafters Companion. I love just love butterflies and it was great for a fast card tonight.

Black & white is always a great classic. I lowered my lighting a bit so it was easier to see the embossing. A quick sentiment from Taylored Expressions Sentiment Strips & this card is perfect for anyone going through a difficult time.

Find some time to chat with a friend this week, with a lot of us still staying home, it’s always a joy to spend time with a friend & share some laughter & smiles. #kindnessmatters

Beautiful Today

I just passed the halfway point for my Wild & Wonderful Summer challenge Yay! Today’s post is actually day 53. Looking good for completing the 100 days. Not all my goals are going smoothly but I am still working on them, relaxing & enjoying the summer season.

Today’s card will be featured in next Monday’s Elegant Embossing 2.0 class. You have already seen 2 of the cards. The white on white birthday I posted Friday & the butterfly card I posted yesterday to Facebook. I sometimes work in a grouping, so as these cards came together, I decided they would all be mostly white. Let’s take a look…..

Same card, different lighting to show how much detail is in the embossing and how glittery it is. I used Crafter’s Companion Royal Trellis Cut & Emboss Folder. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Together Forever stamp set. The sparkle hearts cover the heart cut-outs for a bit more bling. Anyone would love to receive this wedding card.
