Sailing Into The Sunset

Hi Friends!

There are cards I pour a lot of heart into when I am creating them. I created this beautiful sympathy card for my son-in-law & youngest daughter on the loss of his sister from this life way too soon. The sudden & unexpected loss of a loved one is one of the most difficult to deal with. Please hold the family in your prayers.

I used Simon Says Stamp Your Light, Stampscapes Water Pattern and an old FSJ stamp set to create this card with ink blending.

Hold your loved ones close everyday and remind them you love them. Life can be unexpectedly short.

Blessings!

A Special Birthday Set

Hi Angels!

My special project for the past few weeks were for Angel Tricia’s surprise 40th birthday party with the Angels.

We plotted, planned, rescheduled due to snow, cold, work schedules and were finally able to celebrate with her last night. Yay!

I created her card using Colorado Craft Company’s Fear Not Rose set from their Whimsy World collection. It’s done in shimmering watercolors.

Angel Pam suggested an album since Tricia loves to take pictures. I did some research & picked a tutorial from Rosa Kelly Scrapbooking on Youtube. I had this beautiful oriental paper with foiling I purchased awhile ago & it was just perfect for this book. I did a quick video flip through on MeWe & Facebook if you would like to check it out and also took these still photos. I did modify a few pages but overall it’s the same as the original design.

I always enjoy creating special projects for family & friends because I get to put a whole lot of love into them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Bits & Pieces Blitz

Hi Angels!

I know, I’ve been missing in action. There hasn’t been a whole lot of creating going on here but there has been a lot of sorting & organizing. I worked on nineteen 12 x 12 cases last week and I cleaned off my 3 main worktops so I actually can create a little easier while in the midst of some major sorting.

I unearthed a bunch of bits & pieces while sorting including a few I received in Happy Mail cards. So I grabbed my background box tonight & in about 40 minutes created 6 cards that I can send for Happy Mail.

Some pretty backgrounds and a handful of diecuts is certainly an easy way to create some fun. These are sure to brighten up someone’s day.

With the artic blast coming in this week be sure to stay safe & warm.

Have a Terrific Week!

You Will Rise Above

Hi Angels!

I have slowly been curbing my spending however I am still celebrating my birthday all year so I splurged a little and got this fabulous die from the Crafty Meraki. Plus I do enjoy supporting small businesses and American made.

If you know me well, butterflies have been my symbol all my life so naturally I like the more unique things and this die is definitely unique. The background is hand dyed paper I made quite awhile back. I am thinking a hand dyed paper session is in order again this year. The sentiments are from Sweet ‘n Sassy God is Bigger stamp set.

This is another great encouragement card for someone who needs a little light and encouragement. Keep seeking those who could use a little joy and hope in their lives and do a little something special for them.

Thanks for popping in!

Prayers & Peonies

Hi Angels!

Wednesday may become my new favorite day of the week around here. I scheduled it for working on classes but I think it’s been a good day just to chill & puddle around the house doing whatever.

After doing some prep work for another project, I decided to try out my shimmering watercolors on black cardstock.

Not bad for a first try, the shimmer is really pretty against the black. I may switch shimmering colors next time to a different brand. I used Sweet ‘n Sassy Encouraging Peonies with My Favorite Things Words of Inspiration (retired).

I know on my friends list & art groups there are quite a few people asking for prayers for various life events. Don’t forget to make yourself a note to pray for those you know & perhaps you can make a card of encouragement to send to them too. It may just bring the smile they need during a difficult time.

Thanks for stopping by.

Incredible Slimline

Hi Angels!

I have been enjoying the late evening quiet the past couple of nights creating. I really should go to bed earlier but when you are creating time kind of fades away.

Tonight I opted for a slimline card. I haven’t made one in a bit. I used Sweet ‘n Sassy My Thoughts of You and In This Together sets.

This card makes a fabulous encouragement card! I used shimmering watercolors and tried WOW Disco Ball Embossing Glitter for Catherine Pooler Designs on the sentiment. The sparkle is fabulous.

Who do you know who could use a bit of extra encouragement this week? Do something special for someone who maybe doesn’t get recognized or chooses not to be recognized for something they do.

Thanks for stopping by.

Confidence

Hi Angels!

I actually completed 2 projects today & did a class lesson.

Tonight’s card is courtesy of the infamous Bits & Pieces box and a watercolored background from my background stash.

I love how I was able to match the background to the diecut for a monochromatic look. I used Penny Black’s Hope Shines stamp set for the sentiment.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

We may not know what God’s plans are in advance but we know He is in control even when we can’t see it.

May we continue to shine brightly with confidence.
