Faith Art Day 9 – Under His Wings

Hi Angels!

A little stressed start to the day changed into the blessing of a changed schedule that allowed some breathing space. Then when the idea you have comes out wonderfully, it’s an extra blessing.

Today I was in Psalm 91 which is often read during trying times to remind us that God is always looking out for His children.

He will cover your with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness is body armor and shield. Psalm 91:4 TLV

Trying to get back into working on my many journaling devotions that I have from By The Well 4 God and Creative Retreat Kits. I picked up where I left off in the BTW4G Trusting a Good God. I used a printable from His Palette More Than Sparrows, and a printable from Wizard Art Designs plus an abstract stencil that looks similar to cobblestone in the Travelers Notebook I set aside for journaling in. I kept the colors fairly monochromatic.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings!

Faith Art Day 6 – Heart Song

Hi Angels!

Another late night creating & then I started fussy a bit too much with placement of the elements so I just got them on the page.

Today’s verse was one of my posted verses this week & I knew I wanted to create it with a songbird.

ADONAI is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in Him, and I was helped. Therefore my heart leaps for joy, and I will praise Him with my song. Psalm 28:7 TLV

I used His Palette Wings & Pinions printables along with some stenciling, die cuts and a bit of hymn music.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Focus – Bible Journaling

Hi Friends!

I hope you are heading into a fantastic weekend ahead. We will be spending part of the weekend with our granddaughters, YAY!

I have created a couple of cards this week and this Bible Journaling page I did yesterday while dealing with a migraine. It’s a rough allergy season this year for sure.

The focal verse for this lesson is Isaiah 26:3

You keep in perfect peace one whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. TLV

After seeing the video over on the His Palette group earlier this month and knowing cameras were involved, I came across one of the Mintay Mamarazzi papers at a local shop & knew it would be perfect for my page. I added in a printable from His Palette and used Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Marker Alpha and Fall in Love with Jesus sets along with a stenciled background. Since I had already journaled this verse in my columned journaling Bible, I moved over to my Interleaved Bible to complete this page.

Enjoy your weekend!

One Day at a Time – Bible Journaling

Hi Friends!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and have a great week ahead!

Hubby & I ran errands & hung out Saturday and Sunday I did some more serious purging/organizing in the studio. So after my regular Monday house cleaning today, I worked on another Bible Journaling page.

This lesson on His Palette by Lynn had several verses to choose from and a great message to take each day as it comes.

I chose Isaiah 43:18-19 to place my artwork.

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. NIV

We wrote our fears & worries underneath our art and then covered them up with mixed media. I collaged some map patterned paper down and added acrylic paint with stenciling over top. Added my His Palette Printable Moving On and added hand lettering which proved difficult over all the mediums but I persisted.

Hand you cares over to God this week and enjoy each day one by one.

Blessings!

Dwelling Place – Bible Journaling

Hi Friends!

Happy Friday!

I’m still busy sorting & purging the studio and in between I’ve been watching the His Palette 30 days of Bible Journaling videos for Kimberly’s 5-3-50 celebration.

Today’s page features Psalm 84:1-4

How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! ESV

This is the first page in my new Scripture Journal of the Psalms, which has a blank page opposite every scripture page. I used Distress Oxides, stencils, The Road to Emmaus stamp set from Open Journey and His Palette Near Your Altar printable and a Posca White pen.

I have really been enjoying Bible journaling and as soon as the studio is a bit more orderly, (we are talking major purging & sorting at the moment), I’ll make some more cards.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Blessings!
