Faith Art Day 14 – More Valuable Than Birds

Hi Angels!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend!

I got a special project finished today and just squeezed in this Faithdex card to finish up the day. So it went like this:

A. I looked to see what bases I already had cut. It was a toss up between the gingham & woodgrain.

B. The woodgrain reminded me I had put together a Lawn Fawn barn diecut.

C. Search on Bible Gateway for an appropriate verse for a barn. Yep, not kidding, I knew there were a couple of different verses on storehouses.

D. Create the following card:

Consider the ravens. They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. How much more valuable you are than birds! Luke 12:24 TLV

Easy peasy, especially after I found a couple of small bird dies.

I hope you have a fabulous week ahead!

Hello Spring

Hi Angels!

I had so much fun designing these cards for our granddaughters and I love sending them Happy Mail.

I used Unity Stamp Co’s Spring Mouse for the focal image & colored with Prismacolors and stenciled with My Favorite Things raindrops with glitter paste. The background paper is Lawn Fawn’s Flower Market. The flowers were created with Taylored Expressions Buds & Blossoms dies that we received in our Crop & Create event kit and the sentiment if from Catherine Pooler Designs. Nothing like combining all the companies to create a card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hay There Pop-up Card

Hi Angels!

I’m back with the 2nd card from our pop-up class. These cards are a little bit of work to put together so 2 seemed the perfect number for a class.

I thought the “down on the farm” theme was perfect for a birthday card so the Hay There & You Goat this were the perfect sets to complete this card. If you’ll notice the grass is the same paper as yesterday’s card. I was able to cut the grass for both cards from one card base piece, using to different grass border dies. I always love maximizing supplies.

I’m definitely going to need to pencil in some more time with my Lawn Fawn sets. They are so cute.

Thanks for stopping by.

Dandelion Wishes Pop-up

Hi Angels!

I had fun designing 2 cards for a class using Lawn Fawn’s Peekaboo Pop-up die set. And no, I’m not back to teaching full time just an occasional class here or there.

Here is card #1:

These mice are so very cute & I used mice from Dandy Day, Bubbles of Joy & Scripty Bubble Sentiments along with the Dandy Day 12 x 12 paper pack.

I hope your week is off to a fabulous start.

Thanks for popping in.

Dream Big – Creative Journey Art Retreat

Hi Angels!

I hope you are warm & cozy. Looks like we got a little over 2″ of snow today and it’s still falling. A good day to stay inside & create. I also tidied up my work surfaces always a plus.

These 2 cards are so adorable & sure to make anyone smile, especially the little ones.

We used Lawn Fawn’s Dream Big stamps, dies & add-on set, along with Spring Showers, Diagonal Gift Card Pocket, Reverse Stitched Scallop Rectangle Windows dies. The dragon bookmark is a great extra on the card on the left and the see-thru double sided shaker element for the card on the right is a fun design.

Looks like I’ll have another day creating in the studio tomorrow. Probably won’t traverse out until most of the snow melts off.

Thanks for stopping by.

December Round-Up Peekaboo Fun

Hi Angels!

I had lots of fun creating my granddaughters Christmas cards this year featuring the Lawn Fawn Peekaboo Pop-Up die set.

After seeing the Youtube demo during Simon Says Stamp Stamptember event with the exclusive Lawn Fawn set Sledding By, I knew it would make a great card for the girls. I also sourced out a Youtube video for the Snowball Fight set. Not a direct CASE of the original cards simply because I reversed the folded sides on each card so a little creative redesigning was called for. They came out adorable & they brought smiles to the girls. All a creator can ask for.

Please stay safe & warm the next few days with this polar plunge.

Bloom Wildly Creative Crate – Lawn Fawn Class

Hi Friends!

I hope you are looking forward to a relaxing weekend!

I’m participating in my first virtual retreat of the year with Firefly Farms Creative Crate Bloom Wildly Cardmaking event. It’s my first Creative Crate weekend and it has been wonderful all week leading up to the weekend. They positively spoiled us with little daily gifts.

Tonight’s class was with the new Lawn Fawn release that just launched yesterday, retreats have perks.

Taught by the wonderful Jenn Shurkus we created 3 fun spring cards. I just love the barn & the goats! I also enjoyed making a Flipping Awesome interactive card and the cute Hello Spring.

One class down, 3 to go plus I’m putting the finishing touches on a Bible journaling page this weekend. Stay tuned.

God is Love Tag Book

Hi Friends!

While I do the dishes in the evening, I often watch Youtube videos of some of my favorite creators.

I paired some older Bo Bunny Valentine Collection paper with My Happy Space Love Is Bible Devotional kit and a video by Michelle Allen, A Creative Operation to create this tag book to put my Love Is projects in. The little book allows me to do some quick Bible Journaling art in.

I decorated the cover this evening. I may add a wee bit more but for now it’s a start.

While sorting out & purging, I found a few sheets of Bo Bunny’s Sweet Nothings Collection from several years ago. Then I saw the video by Michelle pop up & thought why not create the tag book. I used Lawn Fawn’s Oliver’s Stitched ABC’s & SCT Sampler Love dies to create the wording for the cover with some punched hearts & a journal card from the Love Is Devotional Kit. I did ombre ink blending on the letters & added some white pen accents.

As soon as I can get my video system back up, I will do some walk throughs of this album & the couple of others I have created lately.

I hope you are having a great 2nd week of February. Spread some love & kindness.

Snowflake Fun Part 2 – Get Cracking on Christmas

Hi Friends!

I was so busy having fun with the alcohol ink & die cuts the other evening that I only got one of my cards completed.

So here is part 2:

Not one to waste alcohol ink scraps, I cut some more Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes out of the leftovers. I also used Lawn Fawn’s Snowflake Background stencils & Snow Day stamps for card #1.

I decided to play with both silver & gold foils with the alcohol inks so this is my gold card. It also features LF Stitched Snowflakes & Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Christmas.

Since I was using up glitter paper scraps, I now have several more snowflakes ready to go for future projects. I have a couple projects going to use up more of my scraps. I’m determined to thin out the studio even more this year.

I hope you have had a blessed weekend! Enjoy the week ahead & spread some kindness.

7th Birthday Critter Fun

Hi Friends!

Today my oldest granddaughter celebrated her 7th birthday & this Grammy had lots of fun creating her card.

I don’t make interactive cards very often but this was fun. I used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Hillside Backdrop: Landscape die, Scootin’ By & Butterfly Kisses Flip Flop stamps & dies along with Taylored Expressions Gifted Background.

She enjoyed her card almost as much as the marble run set we got for her.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
