God is Love Tag Book

Hi Friends!

While I do the dishes in the evening, I often watch Youtube videos of some of my favorite creators.

I paired some older Bo Bunny Valentine Collection paper with My Happy Space Love Is Bible Devotional kit and a video by Michelle Allen, A Creative Operation to create this tag book to put my Love Is projects in. The little book allows me to do some quick Bible Journaling art in.

I decorated the cover this evening. I may add a wee bit more but for now it’s a start.

While sorting out & purging, I found a few sheets of Bo Bunny’s Sweet Nothings Collection from several years ago. Then I saw the video by Michelle pop up & thought why not create the tag book. I used Lawn Fawn’s Oliver’s Stitched ABC’s & SCT Sampler Love dies to create the wording for the cover with some punched hearts & a journal card from the Love Is Devotional Kit. I did ombre ink blending on the letters & added some white pen accents.

As soon as I can get my video system back up, I will do some walk throughs of this album & the couple of others I have created lately.

I hope you are having a great 2nd week of February. Spread some love & kindness.

Blessings!

2022 OLW – One Another Tag Book

Hi Friends!

Some may have noticed that I changed my banner to For Others Creations the first of the year.

One of my spiritual gifts is encouragement and I feel a strong calling to share kindness & some love and smiles through creating. Our world continues to be a bit chaotic and everyone can use some kindness & encouragement. I’ll do a video soon to explain where I am heading.

Since “for others” isn’t a direct Bible term, I chose ‘One Another’ for my One Little Word for 2022. We are called to love God & love people.

My focal scripture is Hebrews 10:24

‘And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good deeds.’ TLV

The Joggles Wednesday video caught my eye this week with a tag book. I ordered the tag book kit but being a bit impatient to get my project going, I created one with the supplies I had on hand.

I used my Graphic 45 large tag die, watercolor paper, an older Bo Bunny paper collection and a OLW Sweet Jesus custom printable from ConfettiCreativo.

I will fill my journal book with the ‘one another’ Bible verses that I found to compliment my new endeavor. The watercolor paper will allow me to use many different mediums on my pages and the binding style will allow me to tip-in extras as I wish.

Here’s a quick video flip through of my finished journal.

Remember everyone we meet is dealing with something we don’t know about & deserves to be treated with kindness & respect. In sharing love, we will make a difference and become a light in the darkness.

Blessings,

Delight Mini Journal

Hi Angels!

I hope you’ve had a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

I have done some more organizing and finished a couple of projects. I will be working to move my posts to earlier in the day this next couple of weeks and hopefully coming up with some ideas for videos.

Speaking of videos, boy am I rusty! I did a video yesterday of this mini album I worked on most of last week after the tutorial was presented in the Creative Worship Bible Journaling group. Here are the photos and the video below.

The front & back covers. I used some of my hand painted paper with Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Script, Grunge Dots & Fall Leaves stencils. For the leaves I applied Versamark ink through the stencil & embossed in clear with sparkle embossing powder. The coneflower is from Blessing in Disguise and the larger sentiments throughout the book are from Faith Phrases. The tabs are stamped with Faith Wordfetti and Faith Wordfetti Too.

Inside front & back covers. The original was a paper bag album. I didn’t have a paper bag handy so I recreated the same style from card stock. The pocket on the back would have been the bottom of the paper bag. The signature in the center is 8 sheets of heavy weight copy paper to form the journal and are stitched into the cover. This allows you enough pages to do a monthly scripture verse study, sermon notes or prayer requests or however your would like to use the journal.

Mini trifold booklet to tuck into the back cover pocket.

The front & back pocket inserts with plenty of more room for notes/etc.

This little book was so much fun to create. It’s 5.5 by 5.5 inches in size. Suitable for any theme and just perfect to take on the go or to give as a gift.

I hope you enjoyed the details of this fun little book. I can’t wait to use if for some small size Bible Journaling.

Have a Fabulous Week!

God’s Word Mini Book

Hi Angels!

Despite it being a rough start to the day with a worse migraine than Tuesday, I sorted out 3 baskets and finished one of my Bible Journaling projects.

One of the lessons I watched had us think about what God’s Word is….

I decided to use part of the printable provided by Creative Faith & Co and create this mini book.

I also did a quick video of the book. Despite the size of the picture, this book measures just 3 1/8″ x 2 3/4″ and fits in the palm of my hand.

Correction the paper scraps I used were from Bo Bunny’s Believe Collection. Also correction I always work in my studio as I have a standing work station. However I have been doing a lot of classes & with our son still working at home, moved my desk set up to the studio. Since it’s working out so well, we are moving my desk too so I don’t have to work on the folding table all the time.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a Blessed Good Friday!

A Special Birthday Set

Hi Angels!

My special project for the past few weeks were for Angel Tricia’s surprise 40th birthday party with the Angels.

We plotted, planned, rescheduled due to snow, cold, work schedules and were finally able to celebrate with her last night. Yay!

I created her card using Colorado Craft Company’s Fear Not Rose set from their Whimsy World collection. It’s done in shimmering watercolors.

Angel Pam suggested an album since Tricia loves to take pictures. I did some research & picked a tutorial from Rosa Kelly Scrapbooking on Youtube. I had this beautiful oriental paper with foiling I purchased awhile ago & it was just perfect for this book. I did a quick video flip through on MeWe & Facebook if you would like to check it out and also took these still photos. I did modify a few pages but overall it’s the same as the original design.

I always enjoy creating special projects for family & friends because I get to put a whole lot of love into them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mini Encouragement Book

Hi Angels!

I have been wanting to start videos again. Share a technique or two and some tips, tricks & techniques. So today I am sharing this cute little mini book.

I created this little mini book a couple of weeks ago. Michelle Hale, East Bay Stamp Chick on Youtube shared a tutorial for an Easy Mini Flip Book and it is truly easy & fun. Princess Nora and I made one together on her birthday weekend.

My little book uses Kaisercraft Magenta paper.
Nora’s little book is in her favorite color purple.

Here is a video walk thru of my tag book.

Since it’s going to be bitterly cold for a bit, it’s a perfect time to do some creating in a warm cozy house. Head on over and try Michelle’s video.

Thanks for stopping by.

The Good Life Star Book

Hi Angels!

On Saturday I taught a class & did a quick live video on Facebook of how to create a Star Book.  Here are the close up photos, measurements & cutting instructions and a link to the Facebook video

For the cover I used the Good Life Prints, Farmyard Friends and Humble & Kind stamp sets.

Here is the inside view of the pages you can add pictures to or some inspiring quotes & stamped images. It is important to note that the inside surface of the pages are 4″ x 4″ so you will need to take that into account if your make this a mini scrapbook.

When the star book is fully opened for display it forms a 7 pointed star.

Star Book Pieces & Measurements:

  • 2 chipboard covers 4″ x 6 “
  • Paper for covers is trimmed 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″
  • You will need 7 sets of pages to form the star
  • Outer pages are 4″ x 12″ scored at 6″ & folded in half
  • Middle pages are 4″ x 10″ scored at 5″ & folded in half
  • Inside pages are 4″ x 8″ scored at 4 inches & folded in half
  • Ribbon 28″ – 30″ long
  • White Liner Tape

Please refer to video for assembly instructions.

Please share your Star Books in the comments if you choose to create one. I’d love to see your designs.

Have a Fabulous Week!
