A Foxy Christmas with Rufus

Hi Friends!

Busy week so posting kept getting pushed aside. However if I post tomorrow I’ll still get 3 posts in this week.

About mid-September a tutorial by Jo Rice for Lavinia Stamps posted on YouTube. I haven’t played with my Lavinia stamps much & I thought this was a perfect card to recreate. Here’s my version of Rufus:

I used Rufus, Christmas Charms & Fern Branch from Lavinia and substituted where needed like the mountain stencil, moon mask, sentiment and background script with other items I already own. I used Distress Oxides for the background. Rufus will need a special home for Christmas as he took quite a bit of time to create.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Blessings!

Retreat Surprise Slimline Cards

Hi Friends!

I usually plan a little gifty for everyone while we are on retreat. This time I designed a whole class kit including the main stencil, precut card kit and confetti & snowflake sequins to embellish with for each Angel attending.

The plan was for 4 cards but I didn’t quite like the color combo on the first Let It Snow card I designed but decided to turn it into a card anyway so bonus 5 cards instead.

I used the new The Crafters Workshop Layered Slimline Stencils Merry Snowflakes and Holiday Words. These easy to use stencils design the cards for you. We used a variety of different stencil pastes for the words on each card and embellished with lots of sequins. So much fun and a great start to our holiday card stashes.

Find some time to plan your holiday projects this week. It’s always fun to plan things to bring smiles to family & friends.

Blessings,

Gentle Leaves Sympathy Card

Hi Friends!

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend.

I managed to get some cleaning done in the studio so for now my main work surfaces are neat & tidy. I also updated my projects list.

Tonight I created a soft and subtle slimline sympathy card for the series I am working on.

I used The Crafters Workshop Slimline Gentle Leaves stencil and Simon Says Stamp With Sympathy die cut. I created a soft blend with Peeled Paint & Peacock Feathers Distress Oxides. Simple, classic elegance for a somber occasion.

Have a Great Week ahead and don’t forget to share some kindness everyday.

Blessings!

Daisy Love – Crop & Create Delivered Cardmaking

Hi Angels!

A short pause yesterday in posting since I was at the ER Vet with Reilly, he developed an infection in his incision area. They took excellent care of him & hopefully we are back on the mend.

Sometimes with the Crop & Create classes it’s difficult to pick a favorite. The Pinkfresh Studio is tied for the top honor with the Gina K ink blending class. As I’ve said before daisies are my absolute favorite flower.

We used the Daisy Slimline Layering Stencil with the coordinating die and the Scripted Greetings die set. Lea Lawson taught us the versatility of a slimline set as we created a regular slimline, mini slimline and regular A2 card. She suggested the regular slimline would make a great shaker card so I decided to go for it. There will be a matching stamp set when this set is released late this month that I can’t wait to get to complete the set.

I hope your Sunday has been blessed & you have a great week ahead. Don’t forget to share some kindness!

Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Stamp-a-thon – Blessings Mini Slimline

Hi Angels!

I was intending to post last night, then the internet went down for 15 hours after a power bump so….

I’m still playing with projects from the Stamp-a-thon Saturday. I actually created 3 of the 7 projects on Saturday & now am working on the last 4.

The 2nd challenge was to create a mini slimline card something I’d hadn’t done yet as I like full size slimlines. It was a fun change.

I used Sweet ‘n Sassy Fern Fronds Stencil, Blessings die & Blessings in Disguise stamp set. The blended die cut & stamped leaves is my first blending attempt from my deer card. I didn’t like the original order of the blended greens so I rearranged them for the deer card. I then just blended some of the colors through the stencil and added a pop of purple for contrast. My favorite color combo purple & green.

I hope your week is off to a great start.

Let’s Celebrate Slimline

Hi Angels!

I hope your 4th of July has been blessed with celebrating our freedom, family & friends!

A quick card tonight from the infamous Bit’s & Pieces box. I had tried this background from StencilGirl for another project & it didn’t quite fit so grabbed it & it’s matching layer to create tonight’s card.

I used a scrap of the handpainted backgrounds from last Monday’s class for the sentiment which is a retired My Favorite Things Die-namics. A few sequins & it’s ready to bring a smile to someone.

Have a Fabulous Week!

Gloriously 60 Day 14 Art – Pretty Plaid

Hi Angels!

Today I got a bit of clean-up & organizing done in the studio, then Friday evenings are usually reserved for hanging out with hubby at the end of the work week so my design time got pushed.

I had an idea for this card a few days ago & set everything out to work on it.

It took a bit of fiddling but I like the clean & simple design. I used Pinkfresh Studio Diamond Plaid layering stencil with Salvaged Patina & Shaded Lilac Distress Oxides. Classic Tags with Fillable Elements die set & Perfect Sentiments stamp set (I’m on the wait list for the die. It stamps all the sentiments at once so you have quite a variety to choose from). The clear sequins give it just a touch of elegance.

I hope your weekend is off to a good start! Enjoy!

Gloriously 60 Day 11 Art – Dog Mom

Hi Angels!

Today I’m sharing my youngest daughter’s Mother’s Day card & the most fun to make. She is a dog mom to my granddog Louie.

I used Newton’s Nook Dog Print stencil for the background, Catherine Pooler Designs Peeking Pets & an alphabet from Spellbinders.

This completes my Mother’s Day slimline series.

Thanks for popping in!

Gloriously 60 Day 10 Art – Mother’s Day Flowers

Hi Angels!

I’m sharing my oldest daughter’s Mother’s Day card today.

I used Simon Says Stamp Fading Florals Stencil and the new Tim Holtz Salvaged Patina Distress color. My oldest daughter loves blues and this new ink color is beautiful. The sentiment is an ancient wooden stamp I’ve had in my stash for years.

I hope your week is off to a great start!

Tomorrow I get to have lunch for the first time with Miss Margaret in 15 months between Covid lockdown & her cancer treatment, her hubby kept her protected last year and that was very important.

Thanks for stopping in.

Gloriously 60 Day 9 Art – Mother’s Day Teacup

Hi Angels!

Happy Mother’s Day!

I had lots of fun creating Mother’s Day cards for both my daughters & my daughter-in-law. I will share each one over the next couple of days.

Up first is the card I made for my daughter-in-law, April. I love how vibrant this card came out.

The background is done with Pink and Main’s Flora Stencil. It’s not quite long enough for a slimline so I creatively placed the washi tape to disguise the seam line. The teacup & sentiment are from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps In This Together stamp set. It’s heat embossed in silver and watercolored.

I haven’t been too great about family cards for holidays. I usually get birthdays, anniversary & Christmas done but I’m going to work on creating for a few extra holidays.

I hope your Mother’s Day has been blessed with family & friends.

Have a Fabulous Week!
