Gloriously 60 Day 32 Art – Classic Pink & Black

Hi Angels!

We are certainly feeling the after effects of 2 long driving days but it’s great to be home.

Since I’m dragging just a bit, it was super easy to grab my new order from Pink & Main and create tonight’s card.

Usually when I do a pink & black combo, I grab a vibrant pink. This ballet pink grabbed my eye when I dug into my scraps so I opted for a softer look. I used Pink & Main’s Bold Butterfly Plate A along with Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Birthday to complete this card quickly.

I hope you find some time to create this week while enjoying the beginnings of summer.

Gloriously 60 Day 31 Art – Bison Pines Thanks

Hi Angels!

Today’s card was created while on our trip. I had taken a few coloring supplies, 2 card bases & my ziploc of precut sentiment strips.

I created a Thank-you card for our hosts at Bison Pines the cabin we stayed in outside of Custer South Dakota.

The image is Penny Black Divine and the sentiments are from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Background stamp. I watercolored with Tombow Markers.

Hopefully by the time this posts tomorrow, we will have arrived safely home from our trip.

Have a Fabulous Week!

Gloriously 60 Day 30 Art – Sympathy Florals

Hi Angels!

Today we began the 2 day journey home. It’s been a fabulous trip so far but it will be nice to be home too.

Today’s card is one we often hope we don’t need to make but is always good to have on hand.

I had cut an extra gel print background floral from the Focus Florals card I posted a couple of days ago and decided it would work great for this card design. I again used Taylored Expressions Masking Circle stencil and I stamped the Taylored Gathered Greenery background stamp over the circle mask. I found a couple of stitched circles in my dies to create the frame, added the MFT In Focus Floral die cut and a sentiment from Taylored Simple Strips Background set.

Hope your Sunday has been blessed.

Gloriously 60 Day 29 Art – Discover Your Wings

Hi Angels!

Today we are in Riverton Wyoming to visit my husband’s aunt. We decided since we were so close we would add a day to our trip so we could visit, plus see a bit more of the country.

Today’s challenge card was fun to design after seeing something similar on Pinterest.

I pulled an older Taylored Expressions stamp set out called Discover Your Wings for the dragonfly & sentiment. I also used Taylored’s circle masking stencil with Pink & Main’s Flora Stencil for the background. This would look beautiful in several different color combos.

I hope you are having a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Gloriously 60 Day 26 Art – Shiplap Leaves

Hi Angels!

Today is our 43rd wedding anniversary and we are having fun exploring South Dakota. You can find updates on our trip adventures on my regular Facebook page.

Today’s card would work great for the guys.

The neutral colors are perfect for several occasions. I used Taylored Expressions Shiplap Background and My Favorite Things In Focus Florals with a sentiment from Fluttering Friends.

Baby Yoda helped me find a small art & crafts shop in Spearfish South Dakota called The Knothole that had a small selection of paper art supplies including Graphic 45 kits. It’s fun supporting local businesses & I did pick up a couple of Graphic 45 items and a couple of other things.

Thanks for stopping in.

Hi Angels!

If you haven’t seen the new card kit from My Favorite Things Stamps yet, you should check out the wonderful floral images.

Todays card features the MFT In Focus Floral Frames from the kit.

I used a stencil & Salvaged Patina Distress oxide for the background for a tone on tone effect. I then cut the florals from some watercolor background paper and added a sentiment from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Background.

Thanks for popping in.

Gloriously 60 Day 13 Art – Butterfly Patience

Hi Angels!

I don’t know whether to wish this allergy season wraps up quickly or just continue to muddle through. It’s definitely doing it’s best to keep me off track.

Tonight’s card is pure joy since I love butterflies. So no matter what my allergies & migraines are throwing at me, this card just makes me smile. It’s the first card for my upcoming stencil class.

I used Taylored Expressions Butterfly Stamp & Stencil set & Butterfly Wishes from their recent Butterfly Wishes Kit that sold out fast. The sentiment if from their Field Notes set That was also a kit. I used Salvaged Patina & Shaded Lilac Distress Oxides for the stencil blending.

Patience can be a blessing or a frustration depending on how you look at life. The butterfly is infinitely patient when being transformed from a caterpillar to a butterfly. Spending time in nature brings relaxation and a breath of fresh air to our lives over the hustle & bustle of every day life. I think it’s one of God’s greatest blessings in my life.

Thanks for stopping in and have a fabulous weekend!

Lovely Tulips

Hi Angels!

I managed to get a bit of unpacking from retreat done today, despite severe allergies. I hope to have the studio back in order by this weekend.

If you haven’t seen Unity Stamp Company’s Layering Tulips set yet, I’d be surprised since beautiful samples are popping up all over the internet. I believe it’s their very first layering stencil & stamp set & it is wonderful & easy to use.

I opted for my favorite color combo of purple & green for this card. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Sympathy stamp.

Thanks for popping in.

Butterfly Sympathy

Hi Angels!

Sympathy cards can be difficult to create but are often a gift of love & caring. They also provide the perfect opportunity to pray for the individual or family I am sending a card to while I am creating them.

Tonight’s card was mailed over a week ago and hopefully brought some comfort to a dear friend.

I used Taylored Expressions Aflutter stamp set and a custom ombre ink pad. I added some Nuvo Glitter Gloss to the butterflies. It adds a touch of shimmer without being too sparkly.

Thanks for stopping by.
