Cards, Catherine Pooler Designs

Embroidered Snowflake

Hi Angels!

I am starting to play with the new Catherine Pooler Designs Nordic Wood collection. Since I am still working on holiday charity cards, spare time to create is a little scarce still.

I am trying to get into the habit of working in 10-15 minute blocks of time. Even if it’s just a few minutes I can precut card bases and mat layers, die cut some elements, blend a background, emboss some sentiments, color an image, etc.

For this card I used the Embroidered Snowflake stencil and used glitter paste one day in a short time slot, then set it aside to dry. I didn’t actually start the card until several days later.

The background is ink blended with several Distress Ink pinks and I used the Merry Christmas Word die from the Jolly Holiday collection. Definitely bright & cheerful. Pink & black is one of my favorite color schemes.

Has anyone already pulled out the Christmas decorations or planning to? Creating any special holiday projects? I’m going to start decorating this weekend. I am taking a Christmas class later this month & have a few more holiday cards planned.

Find some time to be creative.
