I am working late again. I have several projects in the works but just wanted to play with something a bit different.
I wanted to create a faux peek-a-boo layer. I love the cards with the bit of pattern peeking out from a layer underneath but I wanted to see if I could create it as a one layer in black & white. Now despite my years of experience not everything goes smoothly and it took 3 tries to get this the way I wanted.
I used Sweet n’ Sassy’s Blessings in Disguise stamp set. It has this beautiful dandelion fluff type flower. I created the lines first with a Zig writing pen, used postie type notes to mask it off and then stamped my flower. I almost had it on my 2nd try but didn’t leave quite enough room for the word blessing & when I stamped it, you couldn’t see it well.
I think this will make a great happy mail piece. I hope you remember each day is truly a blessing. We can focus on the negatives in life or we can focus on the positives. Let’s focus on the positives. We can always find something to bring some joy, make us laugh or share a smile with someone. Let’s be encouraging & kind. We truly have a lot to be thankful for.
