Cards, Kindness matters, Slimline Cards

Heart Smile

Hi Angels!

Sometimes the best kindness is to yourself, especially after dealing with a migraine on Tuesday. Yesterday I ran a couple of errands, did a little troop work and then just chilled. Today I did something I haven’t done in awhile and that was just poke around a couple of stores with no real agenda, then treated myself to lunch. Of course in addition to being kind to me, I also left a nice tip for my waitress. Most restaurants are still not at full capacity so there’s just not the tips for the waitstaff like usual.

Tonight I got my main worktop cleaned off & tidied, then created a quick card using the heart cutouts from the faith, hope & love card I posted last week.

The hearts are from A Jillian Vance Design Slimeline Heart Window & Words Cover Plate die set. I always love projects that I can create a 2 for one and this cover plate set offers just that.

Since there are obviously no slimline embossing folders as far as I know, I experimented with the Ornate Floral folder from Stampin’ Up! to see if I could get an even emboss flipping the cardstock piece. If you look close there is a thin meeting line but overall I had good success on my 2nd attempt. The smile is from a Sizzix set & the daisies are an old retired FSJ set.

Thanks for stopping by.
