Cards, My Favorite Things

MFT Camp Day 2

Hi Angels!

I am back with another My Favorite Things Camp card for Wild & Wonderful Summer day 46. Apparently yesterday I was ahead of the game & didn’t know it since I used a resist technique on my background with the watercolor. It’s one of my favorite background techniques to use with Color Burst Powders.

Today challenge is Remarkable Resist so I switched it up a bit. Let’s take a look….

I used the new MFT Card Size Star Confetti stencils. I laid one over the card layer, sponged pigment ink through the stencil and embossed with Nuvo Shimmering Pearl for some sparkle. A dauber works great for this technique and I highly recommend you go over the stencil 2 – 3 times with the pigment ink to get good coverage. A slight twisting motion helps. I then layered on Distress Oxides. Don’t forget you can “buff” the embossing after applying ink to make it look shiny again.

I then die cut the MFT Mondo Cheers die cut out of white glitter cardstock and cut it 3 more times out of white cardstock. I stacked the layers to add more depth to the word on the card.

I used a sentiment from MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes cut with a MFT Skinny Strips die to finish the card.

This card would be great for many occasions. A birthday, promotion or other special event.

Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to find some time to create this week too.
