We are off on our fall Angel Retreat & while I am away, I decided to try & design for the My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar Contest. There are 3 categories and tonight’s card is for the Clean & Simple Genius category. Let’s take a look…….
I have been working on some dog designs for the dog grooming shop that is displaying some of my cards for sale. I ordered MFT Paw Prints Die-namics and Critter Condolences set within the last month & hadn’t done anything with them yet so I pulled them out along with the Staggered Paw Prints stencil.
I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in Faded Jeans & Wilted Violet for the background stenciling and on a blank white cardstock to cut the paw prints from. I cut the paw prints and popped them for more interest. I stamped the sentiment on MFT Boysenberry cardstock, embossed in white & cut with the Starburst Sentiment Strips Die-namics. I mounted the finished piece on MFT Blueberry cardstock.
The Angels have already given multiple comments on the card & have requested it for class.
