Sunrise Wall Art

Hi Angels!

I hope you’ve had a fabulous weekend!

Earlier this year hubby completed the accent wall in the master bedroom and I planned some art for that wall. We debated several designs but I finally chose a simple upcycle design. I’ve been working on it for the past week or so and now it’s done & hung.

I used 5 of the remaining wall planks for the background, we had some board suitable for backing in the shop. Hubby cut a pre-done circle piece in half and the rays are made from paint sticks. Because I was repurposing a lot of materials the cost was about $15 for the 4ft by 2ft wall art itself. The French cleat to hang it was another $15 so we now have a stunning piece of art work for about $30.

Here is a view of the artwork as you enter the room.

Hubby wanted some artwork with warm colors so I was happy to create something a bit different. I use a lot of blues in decorating because hubby says greens make his nauseous and I’m not a fan of a lot of reds, oranges & yellows but I do like a few pops of color here & there. Part of it is from being a redhead & part of it is trying to keep our home a more tranquil atmosphere.

Enjoy the week ahead!
