Faith Art Day 24 – Impossible Math

Hi Angels!

I got my new The Chosen t-shirt and I created a Bible page page based on it. If you haven’t seen The Chosen yet, what are you waiting for? Download the free app and start watching soon.

“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?” Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. Jesus then took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. John 6:9-11 ESV

I used Distress Oxides to shade in the background a bit, then added 2 stencils over the page. I found a children’s printable with the loaves & fish & printed out & colored.

God specializes in the impossible.

Faith Art Day 22 – Friends

Hi Angels!

I had a wonderful birthday today spent with precious friends which lead to today’s creation. There are a few friendships listed in the Bible and Paul describes Philemon as a dear friend and fellow worker in the Lord.

Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people. Philemon 1:7 NIV

I pulled out my tiny Journal the Word New Testament to create this page with some simple stenciling and a few die cuts.

Thank-you for the birthday wishes today.

Faith Art Day 19 – New Heart

Hi Angels!

I didn’t get as much done today as I had hoped but I did spontaneously join in tonight’s Frugal Friday Bible Journaling lesson on the Creative Worship Group and created this page.

My focal verses based on the lesson were:

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Ezekiel 36:25-27 NIV

The frugal part of the lesson I incorporated were the melted crayon on cardstock to cut the hearts from and the computer generated words. I added in my rain drop stencil for the “sprinkled clean”. I love how it came out and the different take on using the supplies you have that may be much more budget friendly.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Faith Art Day 12 – Look Toward Heaven

Hi Angels!

A quiet Friday at home and a simple Bible page.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3:2 TLV

We are to always be focusing on our “heavenly” home and our life with God. Seeking His will and plan for our lives.

Some simple stenciling, a die cut & lettering. As my Bible gets fuller & I try different techniques, it gets challenging to work around the extra bumps the layers create. My pages will just have additional texture.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend ahead.

Blessings!

Faith Art Day 9 – Under His Wings

Hi Angels!

A little stressed start to the day changed into the blessing of a changed schedule that allowed some breathing space. Then when the idea you have comes out wonderfully, it’s an extra blessing.

Today I was in Psalm 91 which is often read during trying times to remind us that God is always looking out for His children.

He will cover your with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness is body armor and shield. Psalm 91:4 TLV

Trying to get back into working on my many journaling devotions that I have from By The Well 4 God and Creative Retreat Kits. I picked up where I left off in the BTW4G Trusting a Good God. I used a printable from His Palette More Than Sparrows, and a printable from Wizard Art Designs plus an abstract stencil that looks similar to cobblestone in the Travelers Notebook I set aside for journaling in. I kept the colors fairly monochromatic.

Thanks for stopping by.

Faith Art Day 6 – Heart Song

Hi Angels!

Another late night creating & then I started fussy a bit too much with placement of the elements so I just got them on the page.

Today’s verse was one of my posted verses this week & I knew I wanted to create it with a songbird.

ADONAI is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in Him, and I was helped. Therefore my heart leaps for joy, and I will praise Him with my song. Psalm 28:7 TLV

I used His Palette Wings & Pinions printables along with some stenciling, die cuts and a bit of hymn music.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Faith Art Day 3 – Emerald & Butterflies Journal Prompt

Hi Angels!

Today’s creation is from this week’s Creative Worship Bible Journaling group’s Journal Prompt – the color emerald and butterflies.

The original presentation was from Psalm 105 but I had already journaled that page so I moved next door to Psalm 106.

Halleluyah! Praise ADONAI, for He is good, for His lovingkindness endures forever. Psalm 106:1 TLV

I used a Simple Stories stencil and some butterflies cut from washi paper. Simple & beautiful.

Birthday Challenge – Faith Art Day 1

Hi Angels!

It’s May & my birthday month. It’s been awhile since I did a birthday challenge so I decided on a 70 day Faith Art challenge from now until July 9th. My Faith Art challenge will include Bible Journaling, Blessings cards, Faithdex cards, Scripture writing and perhaps a mini album or faith “junk” journal. Quite a variety to choose from.

For day 1 I chose to create in my Creative Retreat Kits Journal from the Come Boldly devotional on John 1:1-14 focusing on verses 1-5

In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were made through Him, and apart from Him nothing was made that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it. John 1:1-5 TLV

I used watercolor and Distress Oxides, sequins, a washi sticker and hand lettering to complete this page. A simple depiction of light, the edge of darkness and a young woman reading the word, staying steeped in truth.

I hope you’ll find some creative inspiration during this challenge.

Have a blessed week!

Rooted & Grounded Established – Bible Journaling 9

Angels!

I hope you are having a great week.

I got sidelined by my allergies & migraines for a few days. I only got 4 classes done for the Crop & Create Weekend but there’s always replay on the videos.

Earlier last week I completed the final set of verses in my Rooted & Grounded Devotional.

Walk in Yeshua, rooted, growing & established in your faith.

Therefore as you received Messiah Yeshua as Lord, so continue to walk in Him – rooted and built up in Him and established in your faith just as you were taught, overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7 TLV

I did a tone on tone page. The gold & cream in the washi tape borders provide a nice frame. It’s hard to distinguish in the picture but there are 3 tones of ink on the stamped image. I used A Walk in the Woods by Unity Stamp Co.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sola Gratia – Bible Journaling 8

Hi Angels!

I have been sharing the 5 Solas in my Bible Study, so I took a card break to create this Bible Journaling page today featuring Sola Gratia – Grace Alone.

Ephesians 2:1-10 is one of my most favorite passages in the Bible and verses 8-9 sum up Grace Alone very well.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not from yourselves – it is the gift of God. It is not based on deeds, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 TLV

I knew I wanted to feature the hymn Amazing Grace and keep the elements soft so the hymn stayed a bit more of a focal point. I searched for a nice image of the hymn online, printed it on Tomoe River paper which is nearly identical to the thin paper in most Bibles. I trimmed it for the page in my Interleaved Bible. There was a bit of an edge in the margin so I added some beautiful washi from Creative Retreat Kits. I used 2 sets of printables from Charlene Warwick Eternal Word & Worship printed onto clear sticker paper to keep that softness to the page. I then used tracing paper to work out the hand lettering on my page & then freehanded my lettering onto the page. It helps that the hymn provided some guide lines.

I am planning an inside cover creation in one of my journaling Bibles featuring all 5 Solas.

Sola Scriptura – Scripture Alone

Sola Christo or Solus Christus – Christ Alone

Sola Gratia – Grace Alone

Sola Fide – Faith Alone

Soli Deo gloria – to the glory of God alone

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings!
