Rooted & Grounded Fruit – Bible Journaling 7

Hi Angels!

It’s been a week already & we’re only halfway through. Planning on creating when we got home from our short getaway, however home care, groceries & appointments took priority. I started this Bible Journaling page on our trip & finished it up today.

One of the ways we know we are firmly rooted & grounded is by the fruit we produce in our daily lives. Today’s verse is the Fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 TLV

But the fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control — against such things there is no law.

The blessing in disguise on this page came from my last event with Pinkfresh Studio as they had included one of their wonderful Washi sets called Fruitalicious, perfect for this page. Stay tuned I am sure they will release the set sometime in the future.

I used some mixed media stencils for the background, added the die cut washi tape & my verse & easy Bible Journaling.

I have events & classes every weekend for the next 3 weekends so…..there will be plenty to post & share soon.

Enjoy your week!

Blessings!

Rooted & Grounded Separate – Bible Journaling 6

Hi Angels!

I hope you are looking forward to the weekend. We are heading out for a short getaway to relax a bit.

I had this idea for a couple of weeks for this Bible Journaling page & finally worked on it the past couple of days. I only have a couple of verses left to journal from my Creative Retreat Rooted & Grounded devotional.

These verses remind us that when we place our faith & hope in God, nothing will separate us from His love.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Messiah Yeshua our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 TLV

A quick ink blended background with a stencil, die cut hearts for a hidden journaling spot, a bit of computer work for the center & corner hearts and some die cut letters/words to finish off. Working in this small travelers notebook is a great way to use up some scraps from the scrap files.

Remember you are beloved child of God!

Trusting A Good God – Bible Journaling #5

Hi Angels!

I hope you are having a good week. Mine was very busy the 1st couple of days but I squeezed in a quick Bible Journaling page yesterday.

I chose a regular Travelers notebook for creating some of my By The Well 4 God designs in. I created a title page for the current study I am working through with the focal verse – Nahum 1:7

ADONAI is good as a refuge in the days of distress, and He knows those who take refuge in Him.

I had some element stamps out for some mixed media work and grabbed them to decorate the page that has a light background of Distress Inks brushed on. The title sticker from the kit & hand lettered verse finish up the page.

God is indeed a refuge on tough days.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings!

The Temple – Bible Journaling #4

Hi Angels!

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead.

I got to spend a bit of creative time this weekend in the studio working on 3 different projects.

While making breakfast yesterday, I caught up on a couple of Bible Journaling videos and created this page inspired by Lindsey Decor. She was working with the By The Well 4 God kit – Trusting A Good God, which I hadn’t started yet.

The focal verses are 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. ESV

I used a stencil from Taylored Expressions and die cut elements from the Trusting a Good God kit.

As a follower of the Way in Jesus Messiah, it is a sobering reminder that we are the church, we are the temple, we are holy ground because God is with us always. A physical building is no longer needed to walk with God. How we behave directly reflects our relationship with God. While we will not be perfect in our lifetime here, we are being perfected to be more Christ-like. Do we dishonor God by continuing to walk in sin & disobedience or do we strive to grow in wisdom & truth & walk in the path He has laid before us? A reminder that our actions reflect our walk with God.

Thanks for stopping by.

Rooted & Grounded Abide – Bible Journaling #3

Hi Angels!

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend!

I was planning to post this Friday but got sidelined by a migraine.

I’m about halfway through the focal verses for the Rooted & Grounded Devotional. This page features John 15:4-5 TLV

Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. The branch cannot itself produce fruit, unless it abides on the vine. Likewise, you cannot produce fruit unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. The one who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit: for apart from Me, you can do nothing.

I designed on the back of my file card in my A5 travelers notebook. It’s been a long time since I did a doodle vine & it was quite fun to revisit this technique. I also used some stickers from the Creative Retreat kit.

I hope you have a fabulous week ahead.

Blessings!

Rooted & Grounded In Love Bible Journaling #2

Hi Angels!

My day was really off balance today, however I was able to do a quick Bible Journaling page & finish my Just January Journal.

I recently order two A5 kraft paper travelers notebooks. I have seen a couple of creators using kraft paper to create on & I haven’t done that in awhile so….. I also thought it would give me a smaller space to do some quick Bible Journaling & feature my Creative Retreat Kits.

Today’s featured verse is:

I pray that from His glorious riches He would grant you to be strengthened in your inner being with the power through His Ruach, so that Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to grasp with all the kedoshim what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Messiah which surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled up with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19 TLV

I masked the center with a heart mask and stenciled over it with a leaf stencil in Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide and traced around the mask with a Micron. I bordered the page with the beautiful washi that came in this months kit and placed 2 of the stickers on a scrap of purple cardstock & fussy cut around them so they popped off the page more. I used Gina K. Designs Love die cut in gold for the center & stamped the “in” from the kit with Villainous Potion. I taped 2 of the pages together to create a side pocket and added the scripture verse to a file card. I used another sticker & the digital printables to create the tab & stamped the leaves to border the verse. A lot of steps but fairly quick to make.

Our winter warning has been extended through Thursday morning so hopefully I can actually do some sorting & more creating tomorrow, since today was a bit of a bust.

Thanks for popping in.

Blessings!

Rooted & Grounded Bible Journaling 2023 #1

Hi Angels!

I have set a few challenge goals for myself this year including a least one Bible Journaling or Faith Art project each week or 52 completed projects for 2023. Since it’s the final couple of days in January, I’m a little behind the power curve on this project. Not to worry, I have some ideas and I actually hope to exceed my goal for this year. I’ve been busy establishing longer in depth Bible Study times & getting my exercise routine set.

My first page is based off my January Creative Retreat Kits Deeply Rooted study, featuring the verses from Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out it’s roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for it’s leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.

I used a combination of stencils, colored pencil work, watercolor and word/alphabet stamps for this page. The stencils were from Sweet Poppy Stencils & My Favorite Things and the stamps were from Creative Retreat Kits, Sweet ‘n Sassy and Penny Black.

Are your roots deep or shallow? It is important in our walk with God to be discerning & directly in His Word studying, seeking His knowledge & wisdom. Too many outside influences have infiltrated the “church” and there are a lot of false teachings and half truths being touted as okay.

I hope your week ahead is wonderful. Stay safe & warm.

Blessings!

December Round-Up Enough

Hi Angels!

I’m winding down on 2022 art to share to finish up the year. Since today was a busy errand day, I went back through my photos to find this Bible Journaling page I did during our anniversary trip & never posted.

But on the other hand, when this One offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God – waiting from then on, until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. For by one offering He has perfected forever those being made holy. Romans 10:12-14 TLV

Jesus has fulfilled the requirement for sacrifices & offerings or the tamid (Hebrew) once and for all when He died for our sins, offered forgiveness & new life with Him restoring our relationship with God.

I used a stencil for the background, hand lettering & the Creative Retreat kit Perpetually Enough to create this page.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wisdom Before Creation

Hi Friends!

I squeezed in a Bible Journaling page while on retreat. I am still working my way slowly through Proverbs. I usually have 2-3 Bible Studies going at once so making time to create related to my studies is scarce. However during retreat I had a good hour to myself every morning to Bible study and absolutely loved the imagery from Proverbs 8:22-31 focusing on Proverbs 8:27 TLV:

When He set the heavens in place, I was there. When He inscribed the horizon on the face of the ocean,

A simple sunrise over the ocean done with ink blending & Distress Oxides in my Proverbs Scripture Journal. Simple beauty.

May you always be inspired to spend time with God in His word. It’s how we gain wisdom & understanding.

Blessings,

Tree of Life

Hi Friends!

I finally made some time to be creative. I’ve spent the better part of the past 2 weeks organizing some more in the studio. I took 6 boxes of cardstock & scrapbook paper to our closest elementary school. By the time I was done unloading one teacher was already talking about using the scrapbook paper for origami with the students. Fabulous!

I have all these creative ideas brewing & begging to be created so it’s time to buckle down on designing. I made it a priority this week to clear my worktops. I did have my first steroid shot to the neck Tuesday, so a couple of days recovery were in order. Since I had another Wisdom page laid out, it was the easiest to start with.

Based on Proverbs 3:13-18 ESV

Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.

She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.

Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed.

I am still working in my Scripture Journal of Proverbs. The bonus of organizing is finding items that fit your ideas. I pulled Simon Says Blossoming stamp set for this page. The tree is embossed in gold & watercolored with Prima watercolors. I finished up with a bit of ink blending, stenciling & letter play.

Hope you are enjoying the final days of summer & spending some creative time too.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Blessings!
