I hope your 4th of July has been blessed with celebrating our freedom, family & friends!
A quick card tonight from the infamous Bit’s & Pieces box. I had tried this background from StencilGirl for another project & it didn’t quite fit so grabbed it & it’s matching layer to create tonight’s card.
I used a scrap of the handpainted backgrounds from last Monday’s class for the sentiment which is a retired My Favorite Things Die-namics. A few sequins & it’s ready to bring a smile to someone.
I think I’ve finally got through the side effects of my knee shot & the knee seems to calming down, Yay!
Since I had a couple of errands today & we couldn’t miss the new episode of The Chosen tonight, I dug into the infamous Bits & Pieces box for today’s card.
Most of these die cuts have been hanging out in the box for about 3-4 years and when inspiration strikes made this great card. I cut the hello about a week ago to try for another card, it was too small & has been hanging out on my desk. Sometimes a little bit of this & that come together just right.
Tomorrow I get to tidy up the studio as the granddaughters get to hang out Friday. Hopefully they will enjoy coloring & painting or just hanging out to play.
Spent part of the day working/planning some home projects and finishing my Father’s Day cards, which I will start sharing tomorrow.
For tonight’s card I dug into the infamous Bits & Pieces box.
A fun butterfly card and a reminder to keep smiling & sharing joy throughout each day. What the camera & the light box capture is always interesting. In real life the sequins aren’t quite that bright blue but in the reflection of the light & lens they seem to stand out more.
I was finally able to catch up with a few things today after our trip including some much needed rest.
I dug into the infamous Bits & Pieces box to create today’s card.
I watched a couple of short art videos & one inspired me to dig into my Bits & Pieces box. Everything was already pre-cut, I just added a hint of stenciling to the white oval to give it a little more pizzazz. Fast & easy.
I’m hoping to spend a bit more time creating tomorrow. Hubby is still home on vacation so sometimes what I plan doesn’t match up with what he plans.
I had to make myself stop creating or I could have easily pulled an all-nighter as I was in the zone on one of my projects.
I did take a few minutes, scrounged up some scraps and made this quick card.
The background is an extra from several years ago when I shared my ink pad swirl technique. The borders are small thin scraps from other projects with watercolor backgrounds and even the dragonflies are punched from a similar scrap. I just die cut the sentiment & put it all together.
I was busy reorganizing my paint rack today and working on some Happy Mail to send out tomorrow while I am out & about. So it was dive into the infamous Bits & Pieces box for a quick 10 minute card.
I did create one of the Happy Mail cards today which I will post in about a week after it has time to arrive. The oval mat on this card was leftover after die cutting out the image for the first card. The hand dyed scrap was just barely big enough to fit behind the opening and the butterfly was from a long ago project. All it needed was the sentiment. I probably could have spruced it up a bit more but I have an early day tomorrow so it’s time to wrap up the night. So super clean & simple it is.
