Wonderful You – Crop & Create Delivered Cardmaking

Hi Angels!

Whew! It’s been a fun weekend but exhausting. I completed 26 cards with 7 more left to finish up this week from 2 classes and then there are a few card ideas & demos shared I may go back & revisit from Friday’s vendor showcase.

I did complete 3 vendor projects Friday. First up is Elle’s Studio a new to me company.

We received the Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Add On stamp set in our event box and create these fun star cards with it.

I decided not to worry about matching suggested color lists this weekend & just grabbed some of my favorite colors to work in. Since I knew we were ink blending for a couple of classes I opted for a rainbow palette of Distress Oxides and just played with colors. You will see a lot of bright happy cards from this weekend.

I’m going to see if I can find some places to drop off cards to brighten up someone’s day. Jennifer McGuire shared some neat ideas in out Saturday night guest speaker presentation.

Have a Fabulous Week! Don’t forget to share some kindness along the way!

Hello Sunshine – World Cardmaking Day

Hi Angels!

It’s has been a long fun creative day between Crop & Create and World Cardmaking Day.

I only got 8 of 16 cards done today with 5 more in various stages of completion. Not only was my first class of the day with Gina K. Designs, but she did a special World Cardmaking tutorial over on the Scrapbook & Cards Today Facebook page.

She shared this technique a couple weeks ago and did a different variation of it today which I had so much fun creating.

What can be better than ink blending, stencils & die cuts? I just love this wonderful sunshine card and it’s sure to bring a lot of light to someone’s day.

Off to get some rest, I still have 4 more classes tomorrow.

Have a Blessed Sunday!

Change the World – Crop & Create Delivered Cardmaking Weekend

Hi Angels!

It’s here! The next Crop & Create Delivered Cardmaking Weekend! I found my tribe! I love the positive, upbeat atmosphere Crop & Create provides for creating in. I am so glad I signed up for the first event last March. I will participate whenever I get the chance.

Today I completed 6 cards so you will be seeing a variety of cards the next couple of weeks. Our Kick-off session featured the new SCT Change the World stamp set with Cathy Zielske teaching a simple blended resist card.

I love the sentiment “small gestures can change the world”. I’ve been trying to focus on more kindness & this fits so perfectly. Our world needs a whole lot of kindness & love.

Stay tuned, I’m expecting to make at least 30 cards this weekend. Some of the products are exclusive just for this event and some will release at a later date from their respective companies.

Don’t forget to get crafty on World Cardmaking Day tomorrow!

Monochromatic Bouquet

Hi Angels!

I created a quick tone on tone card tonight. I had a busy and productive day including spending a couple of hours with my youngest granddaughter. We sorted out 2 of my small baskets then we did some coloring. I cleaned the studio for this weekend’s event and got some of my homework done.

I pulled Taylored Expressions Sketchbook Bouquet out thinking about a black & white card & create this instead.

I used cream, a lighter kraft color & gold embossing & splatters to keep it tone on tone. The sentiment is from Taylored’s Sweet Sentiments set.

A big final prep day tomorrow before Friday’s festivities kick off. I’m sneaking out long enough for a pedicure. Pretty toes & a few minutes in the massage chair is a great way to start a creative weekend.

Floral Wall

Hi Angels!

Sometimes you just have to grab what’s available for a quick card. It’s been a busy day of errands so not much time for creating. I’m still pretty much keeping my errands to one day a week so I crammed a lot in today.

I picked up a couple of my SCT Samplers and pulled this 3×4 card out of the August kit from the Simple Stories Sunkissed Collection. I grabbed my Shiplap background from Taylored Expressions & pulled a sentiment from the Simple Strips background that I keep a pre-cut & stamped package of and instant card.

Looking at a quiet day tomorrow, a bit of time with my youngest granddaughter & more prep work for Crop & Create this weekend.

Do you have any plans for World Cardmaking day Saturday?

Thrill of Hope

Hi Angels!

After a fun family weekend, I’m back in the studio this week mainly prepping for the Crop & Create Cardmaking event this weekend but also some other creating & cleanup.

I went to create a card with the new Pinkfresh Studio Thrill of Hope set last week & one of the stencils was missing from my set. No worries, a quick email & the replacement arrived today so I decided to create a quick card.

A little different for me as it’s a bit more muted. I was experimenting with my Catherine Pooler ink colors since I am still getting used to them. I used the Thrill of Hope stencil, stamp & die combo from Pinkfresh Studio to create the card. I really like their coordinating sets.

Wishing everyone a fabulous week & don’t forget a little kindness along the way.

YAY! Celebration

Hi Angels!

I hope your weekend has been truly fabulous, blessed & you had the opportunity to share some kindness.

We should be home by now but I’ll bet tired so I’m glad I got some cards done before I left to schedule.

I had a spare YAY! Caps Lock die cut from Taylored Expressions cut & assembled in black and thought it would be a great small test piece for the new Iuile Watercolors Christmas Palette I ordered. The watercolor is supposed to look great on black and it does. I’m not sure the photo does it justice for how incredibly glittery it is.

I did a bit of ink variegation on the Gifted Background stamp and add a sentiment from Simple Strips Birthday. A fairly easy card that looks like it took a bit of work to pull off.

This week will be a little bit busy and the excitement is building for next week’s Crop & Create Deliver Cardmaking Event on World Cardmaking Weekend!

Have a wonderful week & keep sharing kindness!

Owls with Great Love

Hi Angels!

Today’s card was lots of fun and reminds us to do all things with love.

These Taylored Expressions Owls from the What a Hoot stamp, stencil & die combo are so cute. I stamped them onto one of my hand painted backgrounds and die cut them out. I used the stencil to create the background. I did one color, then shifted the stencil a bit for each of the other colors. It turned out great. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Soul stamp set.

Have a Blessed Sunday tomorrow!

Dream Flight

Hi Angels!

Do you have any fun weekend plans? Enjoy and share some kindness.

Today’s card has a bit of geometric & my favorite butterflies.

Featuring this month’s Catherine Pooler Designs Club Sursee set Take Flight, I did a slightly different version of the card Catherine did on a live last week. It was lots of fun I love the bright happy colors.

Take some time to relax this weekend!

Be the Change

Hi Angels!

By the time this posts, we will be relaxing in a cabin in Southeastern Oklahoma, one of the beautiful wooded areas of the state.

Tonight’s card is part 2 of the fall papers I found while organizing. I don’t remember where the fall leaves came from if someone sent them to me or they were some ephemera from a long ago class but they are definitely pretty and make a lovely fall card.

Another simple card, I just took a scrap of blended background to compliment & stamped the sentiment from an old Club Scrap kit.

Kindness definitely means stepping out for change to bring some light & hope to those around us. As simple as a smile or holding open a door for someone can bring a bit of joy to their day. Keep sharing kindness where ever you go.
