Faith Art Day 25 – For Others

Hi Angels!

A quick Faithdex card this evening in the final midst of packing for our trip. I hopefully have packed just enough to create while on our trip.

We should always be seeking ways to help others.

Learn to do good, seek justice, relieve the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:17 TLV

My handwriting certainly shows my time crunch stress but the quiet while I was creating was so wonderful in the midst of a busy day.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings!

Faith Art Day 18 – Teach Me

Hi Angels!

I promise I have a couple of Bible Journaling pages in the works but I’m on migraine day 2, plus today I got a steroid shot to the knee. So we go with quick & easy again.

Today’s verse is one I have posted in a couple of places of the house to read regularly, which usually also makes it a favorite.

Teach me Your way, ADONAI, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart to fear Your Name. Psalm 86:11

I love how this turned out as I am a clean & simple creator at heart.

Off to get some rest.

Thanks for stopping by.

Faith Art Day 14 – More Valuable Than Birds

Hi Angels!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend!

I got a special project finished today and just squeezed in this Faithdex card to finish up the day. So it went like this:

A. I looked to see what bases I already had cut. It was a toss up between the gingham & woodgrain.

B. The woodgrain reminded me I had put together a Lawn Fawn barn diecut.

C. Search on Bible Gateway for an appropriate verse for a barn. Yep, not kidding, I knew there were a couple of different verses on storehouses.

D. Create the following card:

Consider the ravens. They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. How much more valuable you are than birds! Luke 12:24 TLV

Easy peasy, especially after I found a couple of small bird dies.

I hope you have a fabulous week ahead!

Blessings!

Faith Art Day 13 – Worth More Than Rubies

Hi Angels!

For Mother’s Day Weekend I am posting some of Proverbs 31 and tonight I created this Faithdex card.

Who can find a woman of valor? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts in her and he will have no lack of gain. Proverbs 31:10-11

I had a few Saturday projects going so I grabbed some pretty Prima paper and fussy cut some of the images from the paper to add some interest to the card. I totally freehanded the writing. It’s art from the heart, not perfection.

Have a Blessed Sunday!

Faith Art Day 11 – Jars of Clay Faithdex

Hi Angels!

Whew! A bit late tonight to posting after the fun of tornado alerts. I had my faithdex laid out to assemble after returning home from an event & then just struggled to get it together. Doesn’t help the tornado sirens sounded while I was driving home. A bit nerve wracking since it’s almost impossible to see a tornado in the dark if one was coming. Talking with God instantly calms the nerves.

I reverse engineered my card, in that playing with some ephemera led to the Bible verse.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay, so that the surpassing greatness of the power may be from God and not from ourselves. 2 Corinthians 4:7

A simple Faithdex card with some ephemera & diecuts with scrap patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by.

Faith Art Day 7 – Faith Knows

Hi Angels!

I hope you have had a wonderfully blessed weekend and a fabulous week ahead.

Today I chose one of my favorite quotes for my Faith Art.

Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading. Oswald Chambers

Created with all scraps & die cuts from the infamous Bits & Pieces box.

I also got a start on a small booklet to create in for my Faith Art Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Faith Art Day 5 – Vintage Faithdex

Hi Angels!

Sometimes poking in your supplies leads to wonderful works of art. I had no concrete ideas for either last night’s Faithdex nor tonight’s, but both came out beautifully.

If you know me well, I rarely work in a vintage style, but it’s always good to step outside of the box when creating.

Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me. John 14:1 TLV

I again dug into my scraps to create this card & some ephemera cut outs I received as a gift with an order.

Have a Fabulous Weekend!

Blessings!

Pursue Shalom

Hi Friends!

Today didn’t go quite as planned but that’s okay I still got a few things done including this Faithdex card.

I didn’t have any ideas for what I wanted to create so I looked through some of my newer supplies and decided I wanted to do something with the origami cranes from Catherine Pooler Designs Origami Cheers stamp set. In this design I have used them as doves of peace. I then searched out a Bible verse that would relate to my one little word ‘one another’. Hebrews 12:14

Pursue shalom with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. TLV

The “cathedral” window is created with Brutus Monroe Chapel stencil and a soft blend of Distress Oxides. I outlined the window, drew in the bricks using My Favorite Things Slimline English Brick Wall stencil and colored the “doves” with a Sakura Clear Stardust Pen which actually comes out a beautiful silver glitter. The verse is hand lettered.

Shalom, sweet peace my friends.

Compassionate Heart

Hi Angels!

I managed to get my extra scheduled cleaning done today & do some creating.

My Bible study this morning was a great reminder of how even in the chaos of this current world, showing love & compassion to everyone is still the most important thing for us to do. Kindness is not very prominent and there is an awful lot of animosity going around. Perhaps instead of pushing agendas, a little bit of grace & kindness can be extended. A little bit of kindness & compassion can make a big difference in someone’s day.

I created this Faithdex card as a reminder that love makes all the difference.

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness and patience; Colossians 3:12 ESV

I used Catherine Pooler Designs Amber’s World for the globe and Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Genuine Love for the tiny love sentiment. I found some framed index dies on Amazon & I tried to do some research to make sure they were not knock-offs, it’s still possible but I didn’t find anything before I ordered them & opted to use the heart frame to fit my theme. I used gel pens to color and hand lettered the verse.

Spread some kindness & joy tomorrow. Have a great day!

New Creation

Hi Angels!

Happy Monday!

Good news, Reilly is improving slow & steady. After his vet check today, their best guess is he had a small stroke as well as the Vestibular issue. So his head may always tilt, it will take him some time to learn how to compensate for his balance, but we have been blessed with more time with our elderly furbaby.

Monday’s are always cleaning day and I do a few extra things the 1st of each month so it’s another quick project tonight.

The new Love God Greatly Bible study is In Jesus You Are….. Understanding your identity in Christ and the Creative Worship August Challenge is Our Identity in Christ. Kind of cool they go hand & hand. So I took one of last week’s backgrounds & made a quick faithdex card with today’s focal verse 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. TLV

I freehanded my handwriting & it’s a little rough this evening but that’s okay. The butterflies are from one of my birthday presents from the Angels, lots of handmade butterflies mostly from alcohol ink backgrounds. I have more than 50 in various sized to choose from.

Have a fabulous Tuesday!
