Friendly Silhouettes – Crop & Create Delivered Cardmaking

Hi Angels!

This was one of my favorite classes last weekend with Gina K. from Gina K. Designs.

I just love ink blending and these came out fabulous with the Friendly Silhouettes set.

We did masking with Gina K. Designs Masking Magic & it works so smoothly & releases so well from your project. Good thing I have a package or 2 on hand already for future projects. The stamp set will be released a bit later along with a new masking die set from Gina K. Designs. Some sets are exclusive to the event & some are previews of new releases from some of the companies. Always fun.

Have you been spreading a bit of kindness lately? Thanks to the event I have a couple more ideas I can work on but right now helping our elderly dog after surgery is where my kindness is focused.

Hello Sunshine – World Cardmaking Day

Hi Angels!

It’s has been a long fun creative day between Crop & Create and World Cardmaking Day.

I only got 8 of 16 cards done today with 5 more in various stages of completion. Not only was my first class of the day with Gina K. Designs, but she did a special World Cardmaking tutorial over on the Scrapbook & Cards Today Facebook page.

She shared this technique a couple weeks ago and did a different variation of it today which I had so much fun creating.

What can be better than ink blending, stencils & die cuts? I just love this wonderful sunshine card and it’s sure to bring a lot of light to someone’s day.

Off to get some rest, I still have 4 more classes tomorrow.

Have a Blessed Sunday!

With Love & Prayers Wreath

Hi Angels!

I finally played with my August SCT Sampler last night after watching Gina K’s inspiration video. The stamp set included in the sampler was a Gina K. Designs exclusive Poppy Silhouettes.

Okay confession time, I think I bought the Gina K. Wreath Builder stencil set a couple of years ago & this is the 1st time using it & it was easy & fun! I pulled a couple more Gina K. sets to complete the card. The Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide flowers are from the SCT Exclusive set Poppy Silhouettes, the Shaded Lilac DO flowers are from Grateful Greenery and the sentiment is from Peaceful Floral. Since I rarely do square cards, I die cut the wreath & added the thinnest black border.

Now I am going to have to watch the video tutorials on creating a spray of flowers for a card.

Have a Terrific Thursday!

Time to Coast Birthday Wishes

Hi Angels!

I hope you have had a great Saturday!

This was actually the first card I created for last Monday’s class but I love how it came out & decided it would be the perfect birthday card for my Son-in-law Dustin’s birthday yesterday so I had to wait to share it.

I used Gina K Designs Time to Coast set and Master Layouts 5 die set along with Taylored Expressions Shiplap Background. I love the sunrise/sunset ink blended background on this one.

Have a Blessed Sunday!

Have Faith

Hi Angels!

I had a great day! I started a 2nd Bible study & got some organizing/purging done. I have a van full for the thrift shop tomorrow.

Have faith is the 2nd “No Fuss” watercolor card from last night’s class.

I am loving the images in the Time to Coast stamp set from Gina K Designs. I added the Wood Plank Background from Taylored Expressions for the background & the sentiment is from Gina K Designs Incredibly Grateful set. My quick No Fuss watercolor makes it look like I spent more time on the card when the reality is it took about 5 minutes to swipe in some watercolor. A limited color palette is the key.

Tomorrow is errand day but hopefully I’ll have some creative time in the studio. I got my Altenew Craft Your Life Retreat goodies today for August 7th and they are tempting me to a little early crafting. What a fabulous kit! Some of their things sell out so fast I’m glad I got in on this one. I also have a few other new goodies to play with. Decisions, decisions. I’m hoping on Thursday I feel up to making several items as I have to rest after my knee injection. I’ll be coloring if nothing else.

Have a Fabulous Day tomorrow!

Guiding Light

Hi Angels!

We had a great class today! It’s always fun to visit & create with friends.

Today’s card features the Gina K Designs Time to Coast stamp set from her newest kit from the same name.

I love lighthouses and did some no fuss watercolor with watercolor pencils. Fast & easy.

Share some light with someone this week. It will make their day.

Gloriously 60 Day 59 – Painted Blossoms

Hi Angels!

We had a fun play day in the studio today marbling & using powdered pigments for card backgrounds & more.

Of course I had to make a card with one of my new art pieces. I used Gina K Designs Painted Blossoms & Harvest Flourish Stencil.

The actual background mat is a mop up piece from another play day with liquid colors on the Gel Press. I used Salvaged Patina Oxide ink through the stencil to enhance the background. Then die cut one of today’s art pieces to stamp the images on & pop up on the card base. Playing with color is always fun.

I hope your week is off to a great start. It’s a bit rainy here but when you play with color the sun comes out.

Gloriously 60 Day 20 Art – Blue Florals

Hi Angels!

So far my birthday week has been full of blessings. Tonight we enjoyed an early anniversary gift of dinner out from my chiropractor’s office. Very nice and there’s a wee bit of carrot cake left for tomorrow’s dessert too.

I have been working on this set off and on since retreat in April. It was inspired by another artist’s blue floral cards. I don’t CASE (copy and share everything) someone else’s work very often but once in awhile a design just inspires. I, of course, changed them up a bit as hers were all thank-you cards.

I used Gina K Designs A Little Hello, A Little Love, Incredibly Grateful and Count It All Joy stamps, stencils & dies. These were fun to create when I had a few minutes here and there. My Thank-you card will be heading to the chiropractor as a thank-you for tonight’s dinner.

Thanks for stopping by.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Gloriously 60 Day 17 Art – Floral Congrats

Hi Angels!

My birthday week started off with a delivery of flowers from my oldest daughter, followed by a beautiful dragonfly ornament from a friend. My birthday is this Saturday and on Sunday we leave for South Dakota on our anniversary trip. It’s going to be a fun couple of weeks.

Tonight’s card is the 2nd half of last night’s creation. Since the A Little Hello Stencil is a 6 x 6, I did the whole design & then trimmed it for 2 cards.

In addition to the A Little Hello bundle from Gina K Designs, I used the Unity Say it Big Sentiments Die set. The A Little Hello stamp set had a small dot stamp that matches the dots on the stencil, so I used it to add interest to the background behind the sentiment.

Do something nice for someone this week.

Gloriously 60 Day 16 Art – Floral Hello

Hi Angels!

It was nice to stay in with the rain we received today & mostly chill. I did finish the last 2 cards for tomorrow’s stencil class.

I absolutely love the Gina K Designs A Little Hello stamp/die/stencil bundle from my Crop & Create Weekend. And……. I was able to order The Little Love bundle released earlier after it was restocked so I’m looking forward to combining the 2 when it arrives.

As you can tell Salvaged Patina & Shaded Lilac Distress Inks are still in use plus I added in Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers & Twisted Citron to this design. I think it came out beautifully.

I hope everyone has a fabulous week ahead! It’s beginning to feel a bit more summery so get lots of sunshine & creativity in this week.
