Faith Art Day 15 – Give

Hi Angels!

Between last night’s barn & tonight’s mason jar, I may have to design a country styled scripture mini album. Hmmm…..

Today’s verse was part of my morning study this morning.

Give and it will be given to you – a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, overflowing, will be given into your lap. For whatever measure you measure out will be measured back to you. Luke 6:38 TLV

I used Honey Bee Stamps Mason Jar Vase die set to create this card with some scraps.

Maybe we should all look for a way to give a little bit more this week and brighten someone’s day.

Blessings!

Coneflower – Creative Journey Art Retreat

Hi Angels!

I hope your week is off to a great start. I got a couple of quick errands done before the winter weather comes in tomorrow.

A big bonus to the Creative Journey Art Retreat is the designs that featured items I already own. It’s great to have fresh ideas for older products. Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Coneflower Honey Cuts is a favorite.

We received the pieces already diecut with watercolor paper and watercolored with Distress Ink Reinkers. The reinkers blend beautifully. I got carried away with my paint splatters, it takes a bit of practice to get fine splatters but so worth the texture it adds to the flower.

Tomorrow will be a great day to spend in the studio creating if we truly receive up to 4″ of snow. If you are not a native Oklahoman (we are military transplants), you know to stay off the roads because Okies don’t drive too well in snow & ice.

Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings!

Into the Forest Birthday

Hi Friends!

I knew I was going to be traveling this week to visit our granddaughters so there were certain cards I had to get done while on retreat. Mike’s & Zoe’s birthday cards.

Mike our son-in-law’s birthday was Wednesday and I delivered his card last week.

I was playing with an aurora borealis ink blend & decided it would make a great background for this card. I used Honey Bee Stamps Birch A2 Cover Plate & Base dies and the critters are from Amy Design Forest Animals 1 & 2. The moon is a circle die cut. I added a bit of shading to the animals with some ink.

I have several family special occasions to design for during the holiday months. I did not have an idea before I started this card but after perusing my supplies, came up with this design. What better way to design than to look at what I haven’t used yet or used in a while and see what inspires.

What things do your have in your stash to browse through that might inspire a new creation?

Blessings!

Snowflake Noel

Hi Angels!

I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving holiday and you’re looking forward to Christmas.

While we were on retreat last weekend, I created a Christmas card to go with a small gift I picked up for our retreat hostess.

This came out so beautiful. I used Honey Bee Stamps Pierced Fancy Flakes A2 Cover Plate with Noel Buzzword die set and Catherine Pooler Designs Winter Frames Slimline Die set. I ink blended the background & word then added glittering snowflakes.

I’m busy resetting the studio from retreat & so I can work easily after my cataract surgery Tuesday. I’m still debating if I want to do a December challenge or not.

Have a Fabulous Weekend and spread some holiday kindness wherever you can.

Snowflakes Blizzard – Creative Journey Art Retreat

Hi Angels!

I had another great event this weekend participating in the Creative Journey Art Retreat with Jenn Shurkus!

So much fun & a wonderful variety of sponsor companies making 12+ holiday cards.

Tonight’s card features Colorado Craft Company Snowman and Bunnies & Trinity Stamps Snowflake Kisses.

It’s my first full front Shaker card but I daresay it won’t be my last. We did lots of fun inking techniques including adding some background snowflakes with the exclusive event Season to Sparkle stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps.

Stay tuned this week for more retreat designs. Since the granddaughters were visiting, I have to still work on most of Saturday’s cards. Have to finish because next weekend is the Pinkfresh Studio Create & Connect event. Then in 3 weeks I’ll have the Crop & Create Holiday event. November is full of classes & events!

I hope you have a fabulous month full of blessings & thanks!

You’re a Keeper – Crop & Create Delivered Cardmaking

Hi Angels!

Looks like it’s going to be a week of quick posts. Taking care of a pup with multiple drains after surgery is a lot of work.

Finishing up my Friday creations from the Crop & Create event with Honey Bee Stamps cute little beehive set, You’r a keeper.

In real life I’m not a huge fan of bees but this is an adorable little set. We colored with markers and did a simple shaded background on one and a “smoosh” background on the other. So fun.

Don’t forget to Bee Kind.

Beautiful Coneflower

Hi Angels!

I hope you’ve had a fabulous Saturday!

I got 5 buckets sorted out & started a 6th and the best news is commenting is working again for my blog, Yay! Apparently there was a conflict between 2 applications and my wonderful web designer daughter finally had a chance to check it out. She’s busy running her own business & raising my granddaughters so I patiently wait for technical help because the whole family knows me & technology are not friends.

I splurged & got the wonderful Honey Bee Stamps Coneflower Honey Cuts die when it came back into stock. Since I was sorting out some of my handmade background papers, I used them to create tonight’s card.

The picture doesn’t do the shimmer in the flowers & leaves justice. The soft marbled background is just the right touch. I also used Honey Bee Stamps Beautiful Life set for the sentiments.

I hope to find some time this week to play with the holiday items I picked up too. More sorting tomorrow.

Have a Blessed Sunday!
