Love & Joy

Hi Angels!

We have our last holiday card class tomorrow just before the full holiday season kicks off with Thanksgiving on Thursday.

Late at night I’ve been watching some of Kristina Werner’s 2020 Holiday Card series videos on Youtube and just loved the trifold card she made for day 2 and decided it was perfect for class.

Here is my version….

I just love the blue poinsettia paper for the background. I used Concord & 9th’s Full of Joy die & stamp set and Memory Box Poinsettia Circle Frame & Pine Needle Twigs dies. I’m thinking this Joy die will find it’s way into my Bible journaling too.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving week!

Thanks for popping by.

Watercolor Presents

Hi Angels!

I’m back sharing my cards from Kristina Werner’s Simply Watercolor Christmas class that started on Monday at Online Card Classes. I had actually started her Simply Watercolor class during vacation just as something a little different to do. These two classes offer easy watercolored cards with minimal supplies. Of course if you know me, I am always switching things up, so I am doing the basic designs but have been adding in stamping & layers to my cards.

I have completed the first day’s regular lessons but tonight I am sharing the first 2 that were made into cards. I hope to do the bonus tomorrow & will get the third design made into a card.

Red stripes with a metallic bow.
Blue dots with metallic dots & bow.

The red stripes are regular watercolor on watercolor with a gold metallic ribbon & stamped sentiment.

The blue dots are metallic dots on regular watercolor with a silver metallic ribbon. For the stamped sentiment I added a watercolor swish to tie it in better. Also I decided my blue present would be a square instead of a rectangle.

It’s actually pretty fun creating with minimal guidelines. It’s also freeing to not worry if the lines aren’t perfectly straight or even.

Taking classes stretches your creativity & can help tempt your muse if you’re not feeling particularly creative. Online classes are pretty easy to navigate and are available for a variety of budgets including free. Find a class or a tutorial and try something new this week.
