Celebrate Times 2

Hi Friends!

I love creating cards that make 2 with one design. I created the flower celebrate for a dear friend’s birthday party and ended up with a solid complimentary card to use later.

I used mainly items from Concord & 9th Exclusive Summer Camp, Celebrate Today Dies, Summer Blossoms Turnabout Stamps & dies and Let’s Eat Cake Stamp set. I paired them with My Favorite Things Roses Background (retired) and Pinkfresh Studio Essentials Blanket Stitch Slimline & Mini Slimline dies.

I stamped one panel with the roses background & created a second panel with an ink blended background, cut the celebrate die out of both & switched which background the word went back into. The letters are stacked on 2 more sets of white letters to create dimension & depth. For a finishing touch I added a couple of sentiments & sequins to each card.

I have been playing a bit more in between sorting & organizing so stay tuned for some more inspiration.

Have a Fabulous Week!

Ornate Celebrate

Hi Friends!

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Today’s share is the birthday card I created for my daughter-in-law using a future release from Pinkfresh Studio. Yep, participating in an event again that allows me to play with products before everyone else.

I picked out a Gel Press background with embedded silver leafing to cut out the new Pinkfresh Ornate Circle die. It looks a fancy flower or sunburst in this format. I did the cloud background with My Favorite Things Stamps Mini Cloud Edges stencil. The beautiful iridescent gemstones are brand new too and not yet available. The celebrate is a current Pinkfresh die and is cut from silver foil. I already have another idea for this die after playing with the different ways it cuts out. Stay tuned.

Find Your Tribe

Hi Friends!

While checking out some Bible journaling printables by Charlene Warwick Art, I came across a really fun printable called Find Your Tribe & instantly knew it was perfect to create cards for the Angels.

Even more perfect was the sentiment I found in my collection for the inside:

“Held together by friendship, love & a handful of crazy stories.”

It’s from Pinkfresh Studio’s Always Uplifting sentiment set.

Take some time to enjoy spring or any part of God’s creation. I know some are buried in snow right now.

Sketch Challenge – Creative Crate

Hi Friends!

During the Creative Crate event they had a sketch & welcome gift challenge going on. Since I had 2 migraines that week, I only did the sketch challenge & had to wait until voting was over to post.

I love a good challenge. I opted to design so they looked like a set.

With the geometrics elements these would make great guy cards or cards for any occasion. On the left I used Pinkfresh Studio’s Art Deco Hot Foil plate to emboss the design on the background & color in with the matching stencil set. I embossed the small triangle piece with the Sizzix Staggered Chevrons 3D embossing folder which I also used on card #2. The sentiment strips are from Taylored Expressions Simple Strip sets.

It’s always fun to stretch your creativity with something like a sketch challenge.

The weekend is almost here, do you have any plans to get creative?

Bloom Wildly Creative Crate – Pinkfresh Studio Floral Envelope

Hi Friends!

I hope you’ve had a great weekend!

I have really enjoyed my very 1st Firefly Farms Creative Crate Weekend and can’t wait to participate again. What has distinguished it over other events was the more laid back pace of the classes & activities compared to jam packed weekends that move, move, move.

Today’s class was with Lea Lawson of Pinkfresh Studio using the recently released Floral Envelope stamp, die & stencil set. So beautiful.

The 1st card beautifully features the cute envelope that you can tuck the flowers & other goodies into. I have plans to add it to a mini book soon. The second card features the layering stencils by themselves for the flowers. An easy way to create the ‘no-line’ coloring look. The Pinkfresh jewels are the perfect finishing touch.

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Please keep the Ukraine and our world/country in your prayers and share kindness everyday.

Daisies Celebration

Hi Friends!

I hope you are having a great week!

Last week was really busy & although I had a couple things ready to post, it just wasn’t happening. I have been making more progress organizing & purging with a goal this week to spend a minimum of 2 hours a day working on it.

Since I had my SCT Let’s Stamp Together set still out, I created this birthday card for a dear friend.

She’s loves purple so of course that’s what I used. The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio, the daisies are the exclusive Gina K. Designs Happy Floral for the Let’s Stamp Together club. I added lots of sparkle with some glitter.

Make your week be filled with joy and take some time to share a bit with others.

Beautiful Cosmos Anniversary Card

Hi Angels!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and you are looking forward to Thanksgiving this week.

I know I haven’t posted in a bit, been a bit busy and then headed off on retreat with the Angels this past weekend, where I did work on a couple of projects and soak up the quiet of the area we were in.

Before I left, I created a card for our youngest daughter and her husband’s anniversary. I used the Cosmos stamp & die combo from Pinkfresh Studio that will release soon.

This is a card I started during the Pinkfresh Create & Connect weekend a couple weeks ago and decided it would make a beautiful anniversary card. It is watercolored on a watercolor wash background.

Looking forward to putting the studio back in order after retreat and working on some projects. It’s good to get away for a bit to have a break from the daily hub-bub and refresh.

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving Week!

Celebrate in Style – Pinkfresh Studio Create & Connect

Hi Angels!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I took a short break, spent some time in nature and did some brainstorming for 2022.

Pinkfresh Studio has this elegant Celebrate in Style stamp, die & stencil set releasing soon and it was a joy to work with in the class with Lea Lawson a couple of weeks ago.

There are so many possibilities and occasions that this set can be used for. We did one stamp of the main image & created 2 cards after stenciling in the colors. So pretty and you can use the flowers by themselves, do several variations of the cake layers and mix & match with other sets.

I hope your week is off to a great start.

I’m in a bit of a time crunch as I have to pack for our fall Angel retreat by Thursday, but excited for a weekend of creating with the Angels. The difficult part is pairing down my projects for the weekend.

Built on Dreams – Pinkfresh Studio Create & Connect

Hi Angels!

I got a bit more done in the studio today than yesterday. It’s tidy enough to work in and I have a handful of things to complete this weekend.

I just love today’s cards from the Built on Dreams stamp, stencil & die combo from last weekend’s event.

I just love the house shape and the floral stencil is perfect for several projects. Laura Bassen taught this class and she made it easy & fun. We also used the Lush Vines Hot Foil Plate to 3-D emboss the background on the thank-you card. I’m thinking I need to dig out my hot foil machine & try foiling it soon. I’m also game to see about using the house die by itself to create a mini album. May have to wait a bit with my current to do list.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend and find some ways to share some kindness. I picked up what I needed for my first Christmas angel project this week. I just need to make a quick card & get it off in the mail. Look for the little ways to bring a bit of light to someone’s day.

Citrus Blooms – Pinkfresh Studio Create & Connect

Hi Angels!

I really enjoyed this weekend’s event with Pinkfresh Studio. It was their first virtual event and it was wonderful. I still have a couple of classes to finish both from this event & the Creative Art Journey Retreat but will be posting what I have done this week.

Our first class was Citrus Blooms with Carissa Wiley.

I switched mine up just a wee bit but they are all Pinkfresh products. I love how they all coordinate so well. I’m falling more in love with the mini slimline design & will have to add it to my rotation on a regular basis.

These cards were created with the Citrus Bloom Stamp, Stencil & Die set, Mini Slimline Stitched Scallop Rectangle, Blanket Stitched Slimline & Mini Slimline combo set, then I added in Scripted Greetings and Perfect Sentiments. I used a combination of Distress Oxides & Catherine Pooler Designs inks.

The event attendees were the first to play with all these new sets and they will be released later this month & next month. Our creations are great sneak peeks of what’s coming. I hope to be first in line for their future events.

Have a Fabulous Day and don’t forget to spread a little kindness along the way.
