Smile – Scrap Attack

Hi Angels!

I’m playing with a few projects that aren’t complete yet so grabbed some Bits & Pieces & scraps for this Scrap Attack card.

The background scrap is an old piece of paintable wallpaper I created eons ago and I took the negative cutout from the smile & added a scrap of watercolor background to the back to make the focal image. A few more of the new Pinkfresh Studio Ombre Glitter Drops & card created in about 5 minutes.

Thanks for popping in.

Blessings!

Beautiful – Scrap Attack Card

Hi Angels!

I hope you’ve enjoyed a blessed Sunday.

I’m in the middle of designing and after I stopped tonight, I started looking at what I had out on my work surfaces that would make a quick card and created this:

This is literally some leftover scraps & die pieces from other projects that didn’t make the cut along with some extra flowers from my recent flower cards. It took maybe 15 minutes to pull together & that was mainly because I was deciding on the flowers & the 3rd mat layer. Now I have a pretty card for my stash to brighten someone’s day.

I hope you have a great week ahead.

Thanks for stopping by.

Garden Birthday #2

Hi Angels!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start. I didn’t get anything crafty done today but did pull together some supplies for designing.

My final birthday card share from my week of February birthdays is for one of the Angels in my friend group.

It’s a mini slimline card featuring Taylored Expressions Garden Variety & Antique Pails dies along with the All Together – Occasions stamp & die set. Except for the card base & jewels, everything was pull from my scraps to make a Scrap Attack card.

Have a Fabulous Weekend! Enjoy if you have 3 days off with President’s Day.

Blessings!

Fabulous Darling

Hi Angels!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

I spent some time playing in the studio this evening on a couple of projects and brought out my collage box along with the Bits & Pieces to create this tag. It will be a great addition to a journal.

The stamped image came out of the Bits & Pieces box, the handmade background paper, sayings & fibers out of the collage box.

Thanks for stopping by.

Garden Birthday #1

Hi Angels!

It’s February birthday week here. Two of my friends and my youngest son all have birthdays this week.

First up is this card for my dear friend Miss Margaret’s 83rd birthday.

Miss Margaret’s favorite color is red so I decided on this color scheme for her flower card. I used Taylored Expressions Garden Variety & Rustic Pail dies, lots of scraps from my scrap bin to cut the flowers & an older sentiment die from Penny Black. The flower centers are glitter dots. A bit of work to place all the greenery & flowers but well worth the effort.

I hope you have a fabulous week ahead.

Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Cards & Treat Bags Scrap Attack Style

Hi Friends!

I keep meaning to post but get busy & then it’s late. I got about 2 dozen buckets & bins cleaned up in the studio last week. Slowly but surely getting things in order.

Before we left for our trip, I quickly created a couple of Halloween cards & goody bags for our granddaughters to leave with mom & dad for today.

I have never been a huge Halloween person and tend to lean towards cute. With granddaughters, I think I’d better up my game for all future holidays. These were a great Scrap Attack project. I grabbed some Halloween dies & some scrap paper and had fun creating these fun items. The Hey Pumpkin is a stamp set from Catherine Pooler Designs, the haunted house, bats & balloons are old FSJ sets & the pumpkin I think was from a Spellbinders set.

I put some movie theater boxes of M&M’s in the goody bags.

Have a fabulous November!

Blessings!

Tag Journal Tag 1 Scrap Attack

Hi Friends!

I have been busy, busy reorganizing in the studio. Over 37 years of stamping, I have a lot of stamps, I stopped counting when I knew I had several thousand. Well 10 boxes, mostly wood mounted, are walking out the door soon. I reduced from 28 drawers full to 19. I kept only what I really love using or for the type of art I am planning to do. The remaining 19 drawers are organized by type & labeled. It’s wonderful!

I started following the Scrapbooking with ME YouTube channel a few months ago and decided to work on her newest project to create a Tag Journal. Of course I watched the first video then promptly went rogue. I plan to make 2 one using my huge pile of scraps from the Bo Bunny Believe & Faith Collections and a Christmas one from a paper pad I received as a gift a couple years ago.

Miss E created a swing tag for the first tag but I created a booklet tag more less following her design.

Cover with 2 pockets
Cover Tags
Inside of Booklet with lots of journaling space
Back Cover
Back Tag flips up for more journaling space.

It was lots of fun to pick through the scraps, design the booklet and add some tags. I will add some more embellishments as time allows. I loved switching to the inverted corner punch or ticket style punch for my corners to change it up a bit.

I hope you are having a fabulous Labor Day Weekend.

Blessings!

Joy Cards

Hi Friends!

It’s March and that means National Craft Month. I hope to do quite a bit of creating but….

Allergy & asthma season is here in full force & trying to sideline me with an upper respiratory. But I don’t take chances with my asthma & have been off to the doctor for proper medications.

A couple of weeks ago I made my first batch of Joy cards to bless others with. I believe I made 58 cards in about 3 hours and it was a great scrap attack to whittle down my white scraps.

You may also know them as Love or Blessing cards. I will be making more with other encouraging sentiments & thanks. I used a variety of Sweet ‘n Sassy stencils, Delightfully Delicate, Chicken Wire, Bitty Hearts, Diamond Tile & Vintage Doily. I also used Flower Garden, God is Good & Faith SNSS stamp sets.

Pretty easy once you have an idea what you want to create and a great way to brighten someone’s day. You can leave an encouraging note of thanks for your server at a restaurant, hair dresser, doctor’s staff, co-worker, or anyone you encounter during the day. Think of how many people you could bless with a simple, quick card.

Keep sharing kindness & praying for our world.

Blessings!

Birthday Shiplap

Hi Friends!

I am still sorting away in the studio. Today I put in about 3 1/2 hours, whew!

Today was my youngest son’s birthday. My guys just don’t like to be fussed over for their birthdays or the holidays so often a quick & easy card is the way to go.

Bonus, this is a ‘scrap attack’ card. The teal is an old Bo Bunny paper from way back when, I had the right sizes in light & dark gray for the shiplap background from Taylored Expressions & to shadow the letters. The sentiment is a retired My Favorite Things Dienamics. Extra bonus, I got a new system to store my scraps in folders, I’ll start setting up tomorrow. Who knows what I’ll ‘scrap attack’ next.

This would be a great card style to have on hand in a few different colors & sentiments.

I hope you are spreading some extra love & kindness during the month of love.

Blessings!

Love You More

Hi Friends!

After running my last couple of errands today before the wintry weather comes in, I got some sorting done. Then to make a quick card, I looked up a quick sketch & created a “scrap attack” card. Digging in my scraps to make the card.

Quick & easy. I die cut & punched the hearts out of scraps and the black & white piece is from the scrap bin too. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Essentials Sayings set.

I hope to tackle more sorting & projects while “hiding out” from the weather. Several places have already announced closings for the next couple of days.

Stay safe & warm.

Blessings!
