Gloriously 60 Day 52 – Father’s Day Sea Breeze

Hi Angels!

I am so glad I have a couple of cards to share ahead with Father’s Day. I got a steroid shot in the knee today & it just took the wind out of my sails. I have had many knee injections usually to put fluid in or an “oil change” but sometimes steroids hit me hard. The good news, I am still a ways out from knee replacement. They told me 7 years ago when they repaired the meniscus in my right knee that I should have had a partial replacement and my surgery would probably get me 3 years time. I’ve more than doubled that & still good for awhile. God is so good.

Today’s card is for my son-in-law, dad to my precious granddaughters. I used Unity Stamp Company’s Lift Up Your Eyes.

My oldest granddaughter just loves rainbows so I thought that would make the perfect sundress and is perfect for summer too.

Tomorrow we get the master bedroom measured for new carpet. Yay! Working our way through house projects one at a time.

Enjoy your Tuesday!

Gloriously 60 Day 42 Art – Adventure

Hi Angels!

It’s been a long but fun day as I had the granddaughters today. So I dove into the infamous Bits & Pieces box & the scraps for tonight’s card.

This neutral design is great for the guys. The train was leftover from a class last year using Whimsy Stamps Enjoy the Journey set & the sentiment if from Unity Stamp Co Scout Adventure set.

Off to get some rest.

Have a Fabulous Saturday!

Gloriously 60 Day 19 Art- Reside in Hope

Hi Angels!

It’s been a relatively quiet day at home except for fighting off a migraine. I’ve got about half the packing done for our anniversary trip. Our anniversary is 4 days after my 60th birthday.

I had so much fun with this Spring Mouse from Unity Stamp Co. I was cleaning up my worktop & it was buried underneath the scrap pile so I decided to stamp & play.

Isn’t he cute? I used Prismacolors & watercolors to color him. The patterned paper is a handpainted background scrap that just matched the colors in the mouse perfectly. I pulled the sentiment from Unity’s Everything Resides in Hope set. This little fellow looks like he’s looking on the bright side of potential rainy weather to the hope of life ahead.

The goal the next couple of days is to get a few more creations done before we leave & schedule posts because we are going to be on the run most of our trip. I’m only packing a small coloring kit in case the urge strikes to be creative but I may be too tired from enjoying the sites.

Oh, did I mention where we are going for our 43rd anniversary? South Dakota. Yep, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer Park, the Badlands & Devils Tower, plus other explorations. Hiking & exploring galore. So excited!

Thanks for stopping by.

Gloriously 60 Day 17 Art – Floral Congrats

Hi Angels!

My birthday week started off with a delivery of flowers from my oldest daughter, followed by a beautiful dragonfly ornament from a friend. My birthday is this Saturday and on Sunday we leave for South Dakota on our anniversary trip. It’s going to be a fun couple of weeks.

Tonight’s card is the 2nd half of last night’s creation. Since the A Little Hello Stencil is a 6 x 6, I did the whole design & then trimmed it for 2 cards.

In addition to the A Little Hello bundle from Gina K Designs, I used the Unity Say it Big Sentiments Die set. The A Little Hello stamp set had a small dot stamp that matches the dots on the stencil, so I used it to add interest to the background behind the sentiment.

Do something nice for someone this week.

Gloriously 60 Day 15 Art – Birthday Wishes

Hi Angels!

Some days depending on the projects I am working on, it’s a grab what’s on your desk or the infamous Bits & Pieces box to create. Today it’s what was on my desk from another project.

This card took about 15 minutes to put together.

I probably don’t play with patterned paper as much as I should and this Dandelion Dreams paper from Creative Expressions is just beautiful. I’m glad I ordered extra with the Simon Says Dandelion Messages kit.

I used Unity Stamp Co. Say It Big Sentiments dies with the SSS Dandelion Die from the card kit and an older die for the wishes. To add a bit more sparkle, I dotted an outline around the dandelion with a Star Dust Gelly Roll pen.

Gloriously 60 Day 8 Art – Beautiful You

Hi Angels!

This Grammy is tired after an overnight with the granddaughters but of course we love having them. And surprise, my youngest son cleaned the house for a Mother’s Day gift after we left to take them home.

We didn’t do much art while they were here this time but I did introduce Miss Nora to Diamond Dotz and I’m pretty sure she’d love to do more.

I got a small Unity Stamp Co. order in the mail today so I made a quick card after dinner.

I used the new Unity Paisley Dreams Toner Card Fronts with the Say It Big Coordinating Dies. It’s always challenging to photograph foil. The foil is Themoweb Enchanted Rose but it looks like rainbow in the reflected light. The you die is an old die from SU!

Thanks for popping in!

Have a Fabulous Mother’s Day!

Lovely Tulips

Hi Angels!

I managed to get a bit of unpacking from retreat done today, despite severe allergies. I hope to have the studio back in order by this weekend.

If you haven’t seen Unity Stamp Company’s Layering Tulips set yet, I’d be surprised since beautiful samples are popping up all over the internet. I believe it’s their very first layering stencil & stamp set & it is wonderful & easy to use.

I opted for my favorite color combo of purple & green for this card. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Sympathy stamp.

Thanks for popping in.

New Adventure

Hi Angels!

Popping by with a quick card tonight. It certainly didn’t take as long as last night.

I am usually woefully short of cards for guys. This card is great because it’s more neutral and I can use it for anyone going on an adventure, for a birthday or more. As short of guy cards as I may be, I usually am also short on cards that I can use for anyone at a moments notice. It’s always a good idea to have a variety of cards on hand.

The background is sprayed Distress Oxides from my background stash. I had pre-stamped several images last time I worked on guy cards. This one is from Unity Stamp Co. All Cylinders set. It’s probably a bit harder to see but I used the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder from Stampin Up! on the background. The sentiment if from an old FSJ set.

I hope you have a terrific week!

Thanks for stopping by.

All Things Are Pawssible

Hi Angels!

I hope you have had a relaxing weekend.

I made a quick card tonight with the new Unity Stamp Co Love Kitties stamp set and paper pad by Graciellie Design. These kitties are so cute!

The play on words on this card are a great reminder that “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

Last week was a bit rough. Keep God first, love others, be the light and remember God is in control.

Since the paper is so beautiful, I opted to leave my image mostly black & white with a pop of accent color. If you haven’t tried Unity’s pattern paper it is a wonderful heavyweight high quality paper.

This card took about 15 minutes start to finish. A card doesn’t always have to be elaborate or over the top to be a great card. Clean & simple is one of my favorite designs to work in.

Enjoy your week. Find some time to share some joy and enjoy a bit of creating.

2021 Floral Calendar Mar/Apr

Hi Angels!

I’m still working on my timing but I got a lot done today.

Today I am sharing the March & April calendar pages. It’s been a bit tricky trying to photograph the pages with the silver & gold embossing I used so I’ve been trying different things & pick the best.

March features the beautiful flowers from Sweet n’ Sassy Stamps In This Together stamp set. I really love the little teapot and there’s also a teacup in the set.

For April I used Unity Stamp Co. You Have Made a Difference set. When I was looking at images of dogwood flowers on line, I saw this really interesting almost blood red flower. I like different so I picked out some deep coral watercolor paint for my flowers with a touch of gold in the shading. The wonderful thing about art is being able to do things that are different.

I usually pick out sentiments for my calendar pages but decided I just wanted the beauty of the flowers this year.

Thanks for popping in.
