Cards, My Favorite Things

Wish – MFT Sketch Challenge 448

Hi Angels!

I’m back with another My Favorite Things project for Wild & Wonderful Summer day 63. I was out running most of the day & didn’t really have a solid idea for today’s card. I was poking around on Facebook & saw the challenge so decided it was fairly easy so let’s do this…..

I went to poke around in my stash of MFT goodies & my 1st inspiration was a retired background stamp called Patterned Triangles Background. I didn’t want my card to have a plain background so that spurred the inspiration for the card. I also grabbed Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set & the Wish Die-namics.

I wanted an ombre type background so grabbed one of my custom Create-a-Palettes. To get the matching background color for the Wish die cut, I swiped the ink pad over my mini 5 x 7 Gel Press & picked up the color with a piece of cardstock. For the corner stripes I added 3 matching cardstock colors to the inks in the ink pad. I stamped in black ink then in clear pigment & embossed in clear sparkle mix. Some crystal sequins add the finishing touches to this birthday card.

Thanks for stopping by. Find some time this weekend to try this challenge or maybe another one you have been thinking of doing. It’s always fun to challenge yourself in your creating.
